    Factores predisponentes frente a la automedicación de macrólidos y betalactámicos en el contexto de la pandemia en pobladores adultos del distrito de Lurin – Lima Metropolitana semestre de enero a junio 2021

    Self-medication has been a practice for years, but cases increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Antibiotics, particularly beta-lactams and macrolides, were among the most consumed drugs. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between predisposing factors and self-medication with beta-lactam and macrolide drugs during the current pandemic. Methodology: The study used a non-experimental type, a quantitative approach, and a hypothetical-deductive method. It was conducted in pharmaceutical establishments in the Lurín district, with a sample of 334 patients from January to June 2021. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire that was previously validated and consisted of eight dimensions. Results: The study sought a favorable relationship among social, cultural, and economic factors promoting self-medication. A bilateral asymptotic significance value of less than 0.05 was found for the variables of self-medication with macrolides and beta-lactams and predisposing factors. This evidence confirmed a relationship between the study variables, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. Furthermore, the correlation showed a moderate positive correlation that is statistically highly significant (r= 0.456; p=0.000<0.05). Conclusion: The relationship between predisposing factors and self-medication with macrolides and beta-lactams in the context of the pandemic among adult residents of the Lurín district, Metropolitan Lima, during the January to June 2021 semester, was highly significant and moderate positive.
