Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of using a sterile barrier system in maintaining the sterility of surgical instruments(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-13) Silva Nichos, Claudia Gladys; Pérez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: Systematize the effectiveness of the use of the type of sterile barrier system used in maintaining the sterility of surgical instruments in the central sterilization unit. Material and Methods: The study is quantitative, the systematic review study design was used, the population of 10 articles analyzed according to the GRADE system. And the sample is a systematic review of 10 articles, these articles were found in the following databases: Scielo, PubMed, Science direct. A systematic review of each article was carried out, the quality of evidence was established. Result: Of the 10 articles systematically verified, 90% demonstrate that the sterile barrier system is effective in maintaining the sterility of surgical instruments in the central sterilization unit. On the other hand, 10% of the scientific articles reviewed say that there is no evidence. scientific that shows a type of sterile barrier system in maintaining the sterilization of surgical instruments. Conclusion: 9 of 10 reviewed articles report that the sterile barrier system is effective in reducing contamination of sterile surgical instruments and 1 of 10 reviewed articles show that no type of sterile barrier system demonstrates that there is no effectiveness in maintaining sterile surgical instruments.
