Ítem Acceso abierto Effective nursing interventions for the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Cusi Delgado, Libia; Solis Ramos, Melody; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective:Analyze the evidence on effective nursing interventions for the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation.Methodology:The search was carried out in the Pubmed, Cochrane, Elsevier, Lilacs, Scielo and Google Scholar database of articles published between 2012 and 2017 whose main theme is effective nursing interventions in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation. Results: Of 10 scientific reviews, 100% are of quality high, of the total of systematic reviews, 6 articles conclude that oral hygiene with chlorhexidine reduces the incidence of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation, 4 articles conclude that elevation of the head of 30|-60° reduces the incidence of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation. mechanical ventilation, 3 articles conclude that aspiration and management of secretions reduces pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation and 1 article concludes that abdominal massage and post-pyloric feeding reduce the risk of pneumonia associated with ventilation. mechanics. Conclusion:Effective nursing interventions for the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation include oral cavity hygiene with chlorhexidine, elevation of the head of the head 30°-60°, aspiration and management of secretions, post-pyloric feeding and the abdominal massage.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of masotherapy in the reduction of neonatal jaundice in newborns.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-12-20) Meneses Quinto, Liz Jhovana; Palacios Sánchez, Gladys Noelia; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoObjective: To systematize the available scientific evidence on the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns. Material and Methods: Systematic review of scientific articles found about the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns, which were analyzed using the Grade scale to establish their strength and quality of evidence, were reviewed in the following databases: Dialnet, Lilacs, Pubmed, Scielo, Cochrane, Ebsco; Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 30% (n = 3/10) are systematic reviews, 20% are meta-analyses (n = 2/10), 30% (n = 3/10) are controlled clinical trials, 10% (n = 1/10) are quasi-experimental, 10% (n = 1/10) are systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The review of the articles shows that 90% (n = 9/10) report that massage therapy is effective for reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns, and 10% conclude that massage therapy is not effective for reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns. Conclusion: The studies reviewed in this work indicate that there is sufficient scientific evidence to corroborate the effectiveness of massage therapy in reducing neonatal jaundice in newborns.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the Cyriax deep transverse friction technique in patients with lateral epicondylitis at the José Casimiro Ulloa Emergency Hospital, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-22) Gonzales Alburuqueque, Elmer Felipe; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudEpicondylitis is the leading cause of lateral elbow pain, becoming a major health issue due to the pain it causes the individual and the subsequent work disability it leads to, as patients must alter their daily activities to avoid the pain. Most patients seek healthcare when the pathology has progressed, making recovery slow and potentially leading to recurrences. Therefore, since Cyriax’s deep transverse friction is a common technique in manual therapy, its effectiveness in cases of lateral epicondylitis needs to be researched.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment and weight gain in premature newborns(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-02) Mayhuiri Pareja, Margaret Andry; Pachas Palacios, Jessica Margot; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment and weight gain in premature newborns. Material and Methods: The systematic review of 10 articles that had as their topic effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment and weight gain in premature newborns, according to the study design, 20% systematic reviews were found, 40% randomized controlled trial. , 20% quasi-experimental, 10% cohorts and 10% case control. found from the following databases: Pubmed, Scielo, Wiley, all of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: The evidence found shows that of 100% of the articles reviewed, it was found that the effectiveness of therapeutic massage to only promote weight gain was 50% (5/10); in neurodevelopment it was only 20% (2/10); and for weight gain -neurodevelopment found in the same study was 30% (3/10) in premature and/or low weight newborns. Conclusion: It was concluded that of the 10 scientific articles reviewed that indicate the effectiveness of therapeutic massage to only promote weight gain was 5 out of 10, only in neurodevelopment it was 2 out of 10; found in the same study for both variables (weight gain and neurodevelopment) was 3 out of 10, in premature and/or low weight newborns.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment in premature newborns(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-03) Leyva San Miguel, Patricia Janet; Urbina Olaya, Roxana Maribel; Remuzgo Artezano, AnikaObjective: To systematize the evidence regarding the effectiveness of therapeutic massage in supporting the neurodevelopment of premature newborns. Materials and Methods: An observational and retrospective systematic review synthesizing results from multiple primary studies. Results: The final selection included 10 articles, with 20% (2) from the United States, 20% (2) from Brazil, and 10% (1) each from China, Iran, Australia, Italy, Spain, and Chile. The majority of studies were randomized controlled trials (50%), followed by systematic reviews and meta-analyses (40%) and quasi-experimental studies (10%). Of the 10 articles analyzed, 90% affirmed that therapeutic massage interventions are effective for stable preterm infants, with observable benefits in neuromotor and neurobehavioral development, as well as weight gain. These infants had gestational ages ranging from 29 to 31 weeks, reaching corrected ages of 34 to 37 weeks. Parental involvement was found to enhance the process, while 10% of studies did not consider the intervention effective. Conclusions: The reviewed studies demonstrate the effectiveness of therapeutic massage for premature newborns in improving their neurodevelopment, supporting motor, cognitive development, and overall health.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of therapeutic massage to promote neurodevelopment in premature newborns(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-03) Leyva San Miguel, Patricia Janet; Urbina Olaya, Roxana Maribel; Remuzgo Artezano, AnikaObjective: To systematize the evidence regarding the effectiveness of therapeutic massage in supporting the neurodevelopment of premature newborns.
