Materials and Methods: The type of research was quantitative and the design was a systematic review; The population was 35 articles, product of the systematic review of the following databases: Scielo, PubMed, and EBSCO. The sample was obtained with the GRADE System, which evaluated the relevance of the evidence and power of recommendation, limiting the population to 10 articles. Results: After the systematic review of the articles, the result was conclusive, with significant satisfaction among patients undergoing breast reconstruction. Having a minimum percentage of dissatisfaction with reconstruction due to fear of cancer recurrence. Likewise, the degree of satisfaction was evidenced in studies that compared groups undergoing autologous reconstruction versus breast implants, despite being the most frequently used currently. Conclusions: The study showed that of 10 articles, 100% indicated that breast reconstruction was effective in the quality of life of mastectomized patients, since they demonstrated greater aesthetic satisfaction, greater self-esteem and less deterioration in their body image. satisfaction with the appearance of the breasts, psychosocial well-being and physical well-being, there are also statistically significant higher scores regarding satisfaction with the patient's sexual well-being.Ítem Acceso abierto Quality of life and body image in mastectomized women at the oncology service of the National Hospital Cayetano Heredia, Lima- 2016.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-07-09) Cristobal Vilchez, Carla Faviola; Ruíz Cabrera, Lady Diana; Pérez Siguas, Rosa EvaObjective: To determine the relationship between quality of life and body image in mastectomized patients in the oncology service of the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital, Lima – 2016. The present study is of a correlational type because it aims to verify the relationship between the quality of life and the body image of mastectomized patients without modifying the reality presented by the participants. The population of the present investigation was 50 mastectomized patients and the sample is equal to the population, that is, it is a universal sample. The technique used was the survey and documentary analysis and as instruments, the quality of life identification test in mastectomized patients because it is an instrument already developed by the National Mental Health Directorate. Regarding the reliability of the quality of life variable, it has Cron Bach's Alpha. 0.735 (α > 0.6), which is why it is argued that the instrument is reliable. The same occurs with the instrument that measures body image, where the reliability of the instrument was determined based on the Cronbach alpha statistic. The result of the test was 0.802 (α > 0.6), which confirms the hypothesis of general reliability of the instrument.Ítem Acceso abierto Self-esteem and its relationship with quality of life in post-mastectomy patients at the Regional Institute of Neoplastic Diseases Center, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-05) Carbajal Angeles, Yeni Luz; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaThis research will aim to determine the relationship between self-esteem and quality of life in postmastectomized patients at IREN Centro, 2022. As such, it is of an applied type, it is attached to the quantitative approach, non-experimental design of correlational scope, of cross section, with a population of 192 subjects, a probabilistic sample of 128 patients and simple random sampling. The survey will be used as a technique, while the instrument will be the questionnaire. To measure the first variable, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale is used, while for quality of life, the WHOQOL questionnaire is used. These are standardized instruments and have validity and reliability. For the first questionnaire, there is a validation for the Peruvian case carried out by Ventura et al, yielding a value greater than 0.80, and its reliability is 0.80; for the second questionnaire, its content validity was obtained by Llallahui (0.80) and a reliability of 0.846.
