Ítem Acceso abierto Revisión de la inexactitud de la información nutricional expuesta en redes sociales: Facebook, Tik Tok e Instagram – Lima Metropolitana, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-14) Tinoco Narciso, Nicole Massiel; León Cáceres, Johanna del CarmenObjective: To review the accuracy of nutritional information exposed on five social media platforms with the highest engagement rates in Lima Metropolitan area, 2023. Materials and methods: Inductive, qualitative approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consisted of the most used social media platforms in Lima, and the sample included five influencer accounts with the highest number of followers in the area. Results: According to the review of each social media profile, 40% of the reviewed accounts had poor quality information, including influencers who did not meet the criteria outlined in the Social Network Nutrition Score to share and publish quality nutritional information. However, 27% of the reviewed accounts were acceptable, as they were professional nutritionists, but some did not provide sources or scientific evidence and, in other cases, were not certified to practice according to the CNP's Statute. Conclusions: Some profiles on various digital platforms expose content that could harm the health of users. Healthy eating could influence users who follow accounts related to food and nutrition, as users interact with the influencer, viewing them as a model of body image.
