Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and its relationship with the application of the Safe Surgery Checklist in nursing professionals in the Surgical Center of a National Hospital-Lima 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-09) Contreras Torres, Keila Vanesa; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaObjective: To identify the relationship between the knowledge and application of the safe surgery checklist by nursing professionals in the surgical center of a National Hospital, 2024. Population: The target population of this study will consist of a total of 90 nurses working in the surgical center of the mentioned hospital.Sample: The study sample will be census-based, as all nurses who are part of the target population will be included, resulting in a total of 90 nurses. Methodological Design: The methodological approach is based on the hypothetical-deductive method. A quantitative approach will be applied, and the type of research will be applied. The adopted design will be experimental, with a correlational scope and a cross-sectional structure for data collection at a specific moment. Instruments: To evaluate the variable "nursing knowledge," a questionnaire by Moreta (2015) will be used, which has demonstrated reliability with a KR-20 coefficient of -0.081. Additionally, to measure the variable "application of the safe surgery checklist," a questionnaire developed by Br. Diora Ruth Meza Pretell will be used, with reliability indicated by a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.870, showing a high degree of consistency.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and management of peripheral venous catheterization by nursing professionals in the emergency department of a hospital of the Ministry of Health of Lima – 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-09) Riman Licito, Roger Valentino; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: The nursing professional working in a critical care unit, due to the nature of the emergency service, must have the appropriate skills and expertise when performing peripheral venous cannulation. This will help avoid complications, both local and systemic, which could further worsen the patient's clinical condition. Objective: Therefore, this research will be conducted to establish the relationship between the level of knowledge and the management of peripheral venous catheterization by nursing professionals in the emergency service of a Ministry of Health hospital in 2024. Methodology: The research will be applied, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level, and cross-sectional approach. The population will consist of 70 nurses from the emergency service. The survey technique will be applied, using a questionnaire to measure the first variable, and the observation technique with a checklist to measure the second variable. The data will be processed using the SPSS statistical software and will be presented in tables and figures. Then, Spearman’s Rho correlation coefficient will be applied to measure the relationship between the variables and proceed with hypothesis testing.
