    Effectiveness of supraglottic devices in managing the airway in pediatric emergency patients

    Material and Methods: design of a systematic review. The population 78 articles, the sample 10 scientific articles, as an instrument the following databases: PubMed, Elsevier and Wiley One Library, 30% (n= 3/10) were systematic reviews, 10% (n= 1/10 ) meta-analysis, 20% (n= 2/10) experimental, 20% (n= 2/10) cohorts, 10% (n= 1/10) case study and controls, 10% (n= 1/10) case series, according to the quality of the evidence it was found to be high in 60% and low in 40%, according to the strength of the strong recommendation in 60% and weak by 40%. Depending on the country, the investigations were carried out corresponding to the United States 30%, Germany 20%, Canada 20%, France 10%, Poland 10% and the United Kingdom 10% respectively. Results: Of the articles, 70% (n = 7/10) point out the effectiveness of airway management with supraglottic devices in pediatric emergency patients, while 30% (n = 3/10) point out the effectiveness of Supraglottic devices versus other devices in airway management in emergency pediatric patients. Conclusion: From the 10 articles reviewed, it is concluded that supraglottic devices are effective in managing the airway in emergency pediatric patients.

    Level of biosafety knowledge and practice of nurses at the Pediatric Emergency Hospital - 2020

    The objective of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and practice of biosafety of the nurses at the Pediatric Emergency Hospital. Materials and method, a research was carried out with a quantitative approach, descriptive, correlational and transversal, carried out on a population made up of 65 nurses from the emergency and hospitalization services under the inclusion criteria that they are healthcare personnel and that they agree to participate in the survey. exclusion criteria: personnel who work in the administrative area, who are on vacation or leave, and personnel who do not wish to participate. Ethical Aspects will be carried out rigorously for each of the participants under the principles of: autonomy, beneficence, maleficence and justice.

    Participation of parents in the care of hospitalized pre-school children in the pediatric emergency service of an EsSalud hospital in Lima, 2019

    Objective: Identify the participation of parents in the care of the preschooler hospitalized in the pediatric emergency service of an EsSalud Hospital, Lima 2019. Material and method: The study was quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. The sample was 80 parents of hospitalized preschoolers. A survey on parental participation was used, which were tabulated and statistically analyzed. The results: When applying the instrument it was found that the majority are female with 85%, with ages from 31 to 40 years 67.5%, in civil status 50% cohabiting, with a degree of professional education 50% and with two children under their care 42.5%. Regarding the participation of parents in the care of the hospitalized preschooler, it is good 71.3%, average 23.8% and poor 5%. According to physical dimensions it is good 67.5%, fair 25% and poor 7.5% and according to emotional dimensions it is good 73.8%, fair 20%, poor 6.3% Likewise, according to indicators of parental participation in the care of the preschooler, 88.8% is good and corresponds (I pet my son when I am with him), 53.8% is regular and corresponds (I wash my hand before entering my child's unit), 11.3% are deficient in reciprocating (my presence provides emotional security for my child). Conclusion: The participation of parents in the care of preschoolers is mostly good.

    Patient safety culture and prevention of adverse events by the pediatric emergency nurse in a MINSA hospital - Comas, 2021

    Objective: Determine the relationship between patient safety culture and the prevention of adverse events in pediatric emergency nurses. Materials and methods: Quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be represented by 40 nurses who work in the emergency area. The survey will be the technique used and the instruments used will be two questionnaires. The patient safety culture questionnaire consists of 42 items and includes 5 dimensions: safety culture, communication, teamwork, management and direction, and supervision. The adverse event prevention questionnaire consists of 17 items and includes 4 dimensions: errors in documentation, care procedure, clinical administration and medication errors. Both instruments have acceptable validity and reliability values. The final values ​​of the patient safety culture variable will be bad, average and good; and the variable prevention of adverse events will have as final values: poor, average and excellent.

    Quality of care and satisfaction of parents of children in pediatric emergency at a hospital in Lima – 2023

    Objective: To determine the relationship between nurses' quality of care and parents' satisfaction in the pediatric service of a hospital in Lima in 2023. Methodology: The study will use applied quantitative methods and a cross-sectional and correlational non-experimental design. The population will be made up of 108 mothers and a sample of 84 people who attend the hospital's pediatric emergency room with their youngest children. For data collection, the survey will be used as a technique and two questionnaires as tools to measure the variables. The quality of care will be evaluated by means of a 23-item questionnaire with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.929; while parental satisfaction will be measured by means of an 11- item questionnaire with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.84. The data will be collected for 2 months and organized in Excel for control and organization. Subsequently, it will be exported to SPSS software version 25.0. In the descriptive analysis, frequency tables, measures of central tendency, dispersion and graphic representations will be used. For inferential results, the normality test (value of 0.05) will be applied to decide whether to use Pearson or Spearman according to the distribution of the data.

    Quality of care and satisfaction of parents, in the pediatric emergency service, Rene Toche Groppo Chincha hospital

    Objective: To determine the relationship between quality of care and parental satisfaction in the pediatric emergency service of Rene Toche Groppo Chincha Hospital. Material and method: the study corresponds to the hypothetical-deductive method accept or deny hypothesis by comparing facts found in reality, the population that constitutes it is a total of 109 parents of pediatric patients in the Pediatric Emergency Service, Rene Toche Groppo Chincha Hospital, from this a sample of 85 was obtained, the survey technique was used and the instrument is the Likert scale, which describes the presentation, instructions, sociodemographic characteristics and the questionnaire quality of care and parent satisfaction, in the pediatric emergency service its content validity was made and submitted to expert judgment, reliability was found by applying Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient obtaining a value of 0.743 which indicated excellent reliability according to the classification in the Kuder Richarson table. Data processing was done using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25.0, and Excel for Windows 2013 was also used to empty data according to a structured matrix as a database in relation to the measuring instrument.

    Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of mothers of pediatric patients accessing the emergency service of a hospital in Lima Norte, 2024

    Biosafety is a very important pillar of quality assurance systems that aim to achieve attitudes and behaviors of healthcare personnel that reduce the risk of infection in the workplace. The purpose of this work will be to “Determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and biosafety practice of the Nursing professional in the Emergency Service of a Level II-2 Hospital in Lima, 2024”. The planned method will be a quantitative, applied, descriptive, correlational study, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The sample population will be a total of 85 nursing personnel who perform care functions in the Hospital Emergency Service, to whom a questionnaire with questions with three alternatives and another observational questionnaire guide will be applied, both instruments having a certain reliability value. And validity. The data will be processed using SPSSv26 and Excel, where the descriptive analysis will be carried out and whose results will be illustrated in frequency tables, histograms and percentage graphs; On the other hand, through inferential statistics, the proposed hypotheses will be tested, for which Chi square will be used as they are qualitative data and, in turn, the results will also be illustrated in tables with their respective interpretations.
