Effectiveness of renal therapy substitution in reducing morbidity and mortality in patients in the renal unit
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-02-08) Juarez Reyes, Noemi Pilar; Lenes Ticona, Rina Isabel; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo Amado
Objective: To analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) in reducing morbidity and mortality in patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CKD). Material and methods: A systematic observational and retrospective review was carried out, subjected to critical selection, through the Grade evaluation system to identify the degree of bibliographic evidence in March 2019. In databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, Medline, Nephrology Magazine of the Spanish Society of Nephrology, Elsevier, the virtual magazine of global Nursing, the virtual magazine of intensive medicine of Mexico, Cuba, Chile and Spain. Only articles published between 2009 and March 2019 were included. The search was carried out only in Spanish. Results: It was evident that if there is a relationship between the application of Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT) and the decrease in morbidity and mortality in patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CKD), it is related to a greater extent to an early start, a younger age of the patient (<50 years) and at a lower frequency of application of Renal Replacement Therapy than required (minimum 3 times per week). Conclusion: the application of Renal Replacement Therapy or Renal Replacement does reduce morbidity and mortality in patients with CKD, and presents better results if applied at an early stage.

Relationship between mothers' knowledge about vaccines and compliance with the vaccination schedule in infants under one year of age in a primary care center in San Juan de Miraflores
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-20) Garayar Guevara, Maria Soledad; Uturunco Vera, Milagros Lizbeth
Immunization plays one of the most important roles in current medicine, by preventing disabling illnesses and deaths due to pathologies that can be avoided through inoculation. The current research refers to the role that a nursing professional has within the bonding program for infants under 1 year old, so it is important to precisely explain the theories correlated to the topic with respect to the Orem model oriented to autonomous care and maternal role that institutes an evolution of interaction and development, after the mother achieves attachment to the child by perceiving the events experienced and they intervene to decide or carry out her care, as Ramona Mercer defines it in her proposal of adoption of the maternal role The execution of the research is appropriate due to the protection provided to the mother-child binomial, being essential the scientific knowledge of nursing professionals who understand the need to monitor and safeguard a healthy population and recognize health as an inherent right of each person and family. It has social relevance because based on the results transmitted to the nursing staff of the health facility, strategies and management plans focused on mothers will be developed to optimize vaccination coverage in favor of the health of infants under one year of age.

Determine the level of risk of falls in pediatric patients in the pediatric medicine service of a perinatal maternity hospital in Lima; 2021. Materials and methods. The present research work is cross-sectional, descriptive level, non-experimental design, hypothetical-deductive method. The population will consist of 60 pediatric patients who are in the pediatric medicine service, the participants were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria set out in the research, an inclusion criterion is that mothers from families who are in to care for their children in the pediatric medicine service. The technique to be used in field work will be the scale with which a significant amount of data will be obtained in an optimal and efficient way. To measure the risk of falls, the Humpty Dumpty data collection scale instrument will be used. The validity of the scale whose reported sensitivity was 0.85, the specificity was 0.24 with positive and negative predictive value 0.53 to 0.63, respectively, comprising 7 items grouped into 2 dimensions, if the score is less than 7 points it will be classified as no risk, if the score is 7 to 11 points it will be low risk, and If the score is greater than 12 points, it is high risk.
