Results: The systematic review of 7 scientific articles on the effectiveness of administering b2 agonists via inhalation with a spacer versus nebulization in controlling asthma attacks was conducted in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Medline, and Cochrane. All of them correspond to study types and designs: Systematic Review, Randomized Clinical Trial, Prospective Experimental, and Cross-sectional. Conclusions: 100% of the studies included in the systematic review (n=7/7) show that administering b2 agonists via nebulizer did not produce significantly better results than metered-dose inhalers delivered through a spacer in adults or children, in trials where treatments were repeated and titrated based on participant response.
