Adherence to micronutrient treatment and the level of iron deficiency anemia in children aged 6 -36 months in the Urpay health post, district of Acos Vinchos, department of Ayacucho - 2022
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-10) Sosa Atravero, Sharon Jennifer; Gamarra Bustillos, Carlos
Introduction: Boys and girls from 6 months to 36 months are considered part of the vulnerable population, one of the most common pathologies in this age range is anemia, this is due to the fact that they begin to eat foods prepared by the mother and In many cases, mothers do not include iron-rich foods. To prevent this disease, all health facilities provide micronutrients, which the mother has to give to her children daily. Objective: “To determine the relationship that exists between adherence to treatment with micronutrients and level of iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 36 months in the Urpay Health Post district of Acos Vinchos, Ayacucho – 2022” Methods: the study has a deductive method , quantitative approach, correlational type. The population is 80 children from 6 to 36 months and the sample is 67 boys and girls who are treated at the Urpay Health Post. The sample will be taken between the months of April and August 2022 using the micronutrient treatment adherence survey, which was created and validated in Peru. Data on both variables will be collected so that they can be processed statistically.

In the case of the variable: Adherence to treatment with micronutrients, a questionnaire structured in two parts will be used: General data of the child and the mother and specific information on treatment with micronutrients based on the instrument of the nursing graduate Senaida Sedano Izurraga the year 2018. In the case of the second variable, a record sheet of the hemoglobin value will be used. The data will be processed using the statistical program SPSS V27, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results. The findings will be presented in simple or contingency tables and will be discussed in light of the theoretical framework. Conclusions: they will be elaborated based on the objectives and hypotheses.

(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-10) Perez Arias, Judith Rosa; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos Antonio
The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship that exists between the level of attitude and the adherence of mothers to the supply of micronutrients in children from 6 to 35 months of a Health Center in Lima in the year 2023. The study It has a Methodology with a quantitative approach, applied, with a non-experimental, correlational cross-sectional design, of a hypothetical deductive method. The sample consisted of 100 mothers of children from 6 to 35 months. The instrument used for the first variable is the mothers' attitude test, developed and validated by Taype (2019), consisting of 25 items. The other instrument that was used for the second variable Micronutrient Supply is the Adherence tab instrument and the questionnaire, made up of 15 items and created in the same way by Taype in 2019. The final data will be entered into an Excell 2021 database, then it will be transferred to the SPSS version 27 program, to carry out the descriptive statistics and represent them in tables and figures; In addition to the inferential statistics which will allow the testing of the hypotheses and thus determine if there is a relationship between the variables, for this the non-parametric test of Spearman's Rho will be applied and to see the correlation the chi-square and ensuring informed consent, ethical aspects of participation prior approval of the same.

Critical review: effect of micronutrient supplementation and its influence on symptomatic complications in the patient with diabetic nephropathy
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-22) Castillo Lira, Betsy Julie; León Cáceres, Johanna del Carmen
Diabetic nephropathy is a disease that alters the microcirculation with functional and structural alterations, such as inflammatory and degenerative processes related to hyperglycemia, which are linked to aggravating factors. In diabetic patients, 20 to 40% have diabetic nephropathy, making it the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. This secondary research, titled 'Critical Review: Effect of Micronutrient Supplementation and Its Influence on Symptomatic Complications in Diabetic Nephropathy Patients,' aimed to identify the effect of micronutrient supplementation and its influence on symptomatic complications in diabetic nephropathy patients. The clinical question was: 'What are the effects of micronutrient supplementation and its influence on symptomatic complications in diabetic nephropathy patients?' The methodology used was Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE). Information was searched through Google Scholar, Scielo, PubMed, Redalic, and Scopus, finding 28 articles, with 14 selected and evaluated using the critical reading tool CASPE. The article titled 'Oral Magnesium Supplementation Improved Lipid Profile but Increased Insulin Resistance in Diabetic Nephropathy Patients: A Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial' was selected, which has an evidence level of AI and a strong recommendation grade. The critical commentary concluded that magnesium supplementation in diabetic nephropathy patients had an unfavorable effect on insulin sensitivity but also observed a favorable effect in reducing microalbuminuria. Based on the study findings, magnesium supplementation is recommended in diabetic nephropathy patients at a prolonged and adjusted dosage for future studies.

Objective: To determine the relationship between eating behaviors and the nutritional status of patients treated at a hemodialysis clinic in Lima 2023. Methodology: The study will consider the hypothetical deductive method, quantitative approach, correlational design, cross-sectional; where a census sample of 82 patients receiving hemodialysis, adults with Chronic Kidney Disease who sign the informed consent will be included; The technique considered was the survey whose instrument corresponds to a questionnaire for the identification of eating behaviors; while, the nutritional status will be evaluated through documentary analysis, reviewing the medical records of each patient in a data sheet; These instruments are validated (p: 0.04) and reliable (KR-20: 0.91). Results: The data will be processed considering a dichotomous coding with values of 0 and 1, considering higher values for the appropriate behavior; while for the nutritional status it will be determined with the score assigned in normal, moderate and mild. Conclusions: The relationship test between the study variables will be demonstrated by contrasting hypotheses using the Pearson Correlation statistical test.

Level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and micronutrient supplementation in mothers of children under 2 years of age
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-23) Flores Chiok, Rosario Isabel; Palomino Taquire, Rewards
Title: Level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and micronutrient supplementation in mothers of children under 2 years of age who attend the Quilmaná health center -Cañete-Lima -2022 Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and micronutrient supplementation in mothers of children under 2 years of age who attend the Quilmaná health center 2022. Material and method: It is a descriptive cross-sectional study, a survey will be used as a technique and an already validated questionnaire as a measurement instrument. The inductive method will be applied. Approach: Quantitative since the variable will be measured by a 35-question questionnaire with 4 dimensions: level of basic knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and micronutrients, level of knowledge about the preparation of iron-rich foods, level of knowledge about the importance of the micronutrient to prevent anemia and level of knowledge about micronutrient supplementation. Population: It will be made up of 120 mothers of children under 2 years of age. A non-probabilistic convenience sampling will be carried out. Sample: There will be no sample. Results: The collected data will be entered into a table prepared in Microsoft Excel version 2019 and filled in the statistical software SPSS 27.0. For the analysis of the results, they will be shown in bar graphs to classify the percentage of mothers with a high, low and medium level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia and level of knowledge about micronutrients into know and do not know. Regarding the general data of the mothers, tables of relative and absolute frequencies and measures of central tendency will be used, and for the sociodemographic data, frequency tables, ranges, and estimates will be used. The final results will serve as an input to nursing professionals to design intervention strategies in order to reduce cases of childhood anemia at the local and national level.
