Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of the supplies used in intestinal cleansing prior to colorectal procedures to avoid electrolyte alterations in pediatric patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-11-04) Ascanio Astete, Natalia Ibonet; Ochante Minaya, Melisa Madeleine; Millones Gómez, Segundo GermánObjective: Systematize the evidence found in studies regarding the efficacy of the materials used in intestinal cleaning prior to colorectal procedures to avoid electrolyte disturbances in pediatric patients. Materials and Methods: This is a systematic review of 13 scientific articles found in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Epistemonikos, Cochrane, and EBSCO, selected using the GRADE evaluation system to identify the degree and quality of evidence. Of the systematically reviewed scientific articles, 100% are of high quality. Regarding the design type: 40% (4 out of 13) are meta-analyses, 30% (4 out of 13) are randomized controlled trials, 20% (3 out of 13) are clinical trials, and 10% (2 out of 13) are systematic reviews. Results: 8 out of 13 indicate that the materials used in intestinal cleaning prior to colorectal procedures are effective in pediatric patients as no electrolyte disturbances are evident. 5 out of 13 indicate that electrolyte disturbances occur after intestinal cleaning prior to colorectal procedures. Conclusions: The materials used in intestinal cleaning prior to colorectal procedures are effective in pediatric patients as no electrolyte disturbances are evident. Factors such as pathology, weight, and dosage of the pediatric patient should be considered for adequate intestinal cleaning.Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing care and anxiety of patients undergoing surgery in the minor surgery service, public hospital, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-30) Culqui Castañeda, Rocio del Pilar; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoIntroduction: Nursing care plays an important role in the face of the patient who is in the preoperative stage, given that surgical interventions directly affect their emotional state, which is why they have presented a problem called preoperative anxiety, therefore, it is the preoperative preparation provided by the nursing staff is of importance.
