(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-11-10) Calderon Echevarria, Mercedes; Yaya Manco, Elsa Magaly

Description of the activity of the CKMB isoenzyme in vitreous humor in corpses with suspected acute myocardial infarction from the Institute of Legal Medicine.
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-07-23) Oblitas Falero, Yesenia Elizabeth; Ascarza Gallegos, Justo Angelo
Forensic sciences make the final diagnosis of cause of death with the help of auxiliary tests, such as CKMB. One of the biological samples used in forensics is vitreous humor due to its high protection against cellular lysis. To describe the activity of the CKMB isoenzyme in vitreous humor in corpses suspected of acute myocardial infarction, 23 vitreous humor samples were collected from suspicious corpses at the Callao Institute of Forensic Medicine and analyzed using the CKMB reagent on the BT3000 plus biochemical analyzer. The mode, median, average, standard deviation, percentiles, kurtosis, and skewness were evaluated, with the gold standard being the anatomopathological result. The descriptive statistics of male corpses showed a higher result than females, with a normal and symmetric distribution. The lowest biochemical CKMB result was 6 U/L, and the maximum was 7386 U/L. The anatomopathological diagnosis confirmed acute myocardial infarction. The dispersed CKMB values in vitreous humor samples from corpses did not show an adequate marker for acute myocardial infarction.

Factors related to knowledge about the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction in nurses of the emergency department of the hospital Guillermo Kaelin de la Fuente, Lima-2021
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-20) Prudencio Jamanca, Yustin Hernán; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
Introduction: When we talk about acute myocardial infarction (AMI), it refers to necrosis or death of a part of a person's myocardium. This usually happens due to a suspension or decrease in blood flow that occurs as a result of an occlusion of a coronary artery. Nursing care from the initial stage is considered the cornerstone of the survival of a patient with AMI. As a result, work factors associated with professional experience, training and specialization may be associated with a better level of knowledge and performance of the nurse with patients with AMI. Objective: To determine the work factors associated with knowledge about the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction in nurses of the emergency service of the Guillermo Kaelin de la Fuente hospital, Lima- 2021. Methods: The research was developed under the hypothetical deductive method, under a quantitative approach, of an application type with an association level with a non-experimental design. The data collection instrument was applied to 45 nursing professionals who care for patients with acute myocardial infarction in the emergency service of the Guillermo Kaelin de la Fuente hospital in Lima.

Level of knowledge and practice in the management of the electrocardiogram in emergency nurses of a national hospital 2023
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-06) Ortega Moreno, Daniel; Benavente Sanchez, Yennys Katiusca
Introduction: Health professionals currently face a great challenge to identify symptoms or pathologies more effectively. In this regard, they use technical means, such as an electrocardiogram study, to help determine certain diagnoses and more closely monitor mild or chronic heart disease. Objective: To determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and practice in the management of the electrocardiogram in nurses in the emergency area of a national hospital, 2023. Methods: Given the hypothetical deductive approach, it is quantitative, that is, a evaluation of numerical data from a particular study. Observational, correlational and cross-sectional study designs were applied. The population is 79 nurses who worked in the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima. And the samples were obtained by chance and were deliberately included as inclusion criteria by the investigators: they were all emergency department nurses and both men and women voluntarily participated in ward work. Exclusion criteria for telework professionals who do not wish to sign an informed consent. The study evaluated the variables of knowledge and practice of the use of the ECG by examining the technique. To measure the following variables, the following variables are used: Questionnaire on the use of electrocardiograms in nurses and a practical monitoring guide for the use of electrocardiograms in nursing.

Nursing interventions in adult patients with acute myocardial infarction in the emergency service of a national hospital in Lima, 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-01-22) MartÍnez Pacheco, Cristina; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan Haydee
The present academic work is considered for my project because it focuses on an emergency and clearly radiates one of the diseases that cause sudden death. This situation, during the pandemic, has led to more cases, such as Acute Myocardial Infarction, which has a 73% mortality rate annually in Peru. In the case of males, it is 90% in extra-hospital settings, due to lack of knowledge in management, distance, and other factors. It is associated with Hypertension (61%), Obesity (60%), mainly in the coast (88%) due to poor eating habits and lifestyle, with the highest percentage in Lima (71.1%) and among those aged 61 to 80 years (53%). According to the WHO, there are 18 million deaths, and the PAHO states that 2 million die due to lack of knowledge about their pathologies in those over 45 years old. According to international studies, if there is an immediate response from emergency nurses, mortality can be reduced by 80%. Immediate drug management and activation of protocols are emphasized. National studies indicate that the management by emergency nurses is protocolized and much better, and another study added that more cases are found in males over 60 years old. It emphasizes that if there is good management by the team and trained emergency nurses, the majority of patients will be discharged within 5 to 8 days with prior recommendations and guidance for the accompanying family.
