Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of glycine versus distilled water to reduce hydroelectrolyte disorders in patients undergoing transurethral resection(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-08-05) Lugarte Caballero, Giner Valentin; Revatta Beingolea, Hilda; Rivera Lozada de Bonilla, OrianaThe objective of the research is to systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of glycine versus distilled water to reduce hydroelectrolyte disorders in patients undergoing transurethral resection (TUR). 10 scientific articles were reviewed, including controlled, randomized, cohort, case-control, and experimental trials. 50% evidence was found that irrigated patients present hyponatremia, being less with distilled water, 10% evidence that the use of distilled water reduces perioperative hypothermia and tremors, 10% demonstrates in a comparison of the absorption of irrigation fluids (saline solution ) used during rtu, is a non-significant percentage. 10% conclude that glycine solution increases the transparency of the optics, compared to distilled water, 10% demonstrate that irrigation with water in preventing the recurrence of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer is as effective as mitomycin, 10 % conclude that distilled water is an effective solution as an irrigant in procedures such as percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Material and methods: The systematic exploration that entails of 10 scientific articles evidenced on the Efficacy of the supine body position before Prone position to reduce operating time in patients undergoing NP surgery were obtained from the following databases: Google Scholar, Epistemonikos, Scielo. Of the 10 articles, 10% (1/10) corresponds to Case and Control Design, 30% (3/10) is Systematic Review design, 50% (5/10) is Meta-Analysis Design and 10% (1 /10) is a descriptive study.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficiency of the Supine position VS. Material and methods: The following systematic review consists of 10 pieces of evidence. They were obtained from the following databases Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Epistemonikos and Google scholar. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 pieces of evidence, 50% (5/10) are of high quality, 30% (3/10) are of medium quality and 20% (2/10) are of low quality. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 60% (6/10) of the evidence demonstrate that the supine position is equally effective as the prone position for reducing bleeding after Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in adults and 40% (4/10 ) of evidence shows that the supine position is more effective than the prone position for reducing post-Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy bleeding in adults. Conclusions: (6/10) indicate that the supine position is equally effective as the prone position for reducing bleeding after Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in adults and (4/10) indicate that the supine position is more effective than the prone position for Decreased bleeding after Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in adults.
