Effect of noise intensity on the newborn hospitalized in the neonatal ICU
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-02-28) Checglio Cusi, Jessica Sadith; Santamaría Olivos, Elida; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa María
Objective: Systematize the available evidence on the effect of noise intensity on newborns hospitalized in the neonatal ICU. Material and methods: Systematic observational and retrospective review, quantitative, the 10 articles found on the effect of noise intensity in the newborn hospitalized in the neonatal ICU, were found in the databases PubMed, Sciencedirect, Scielo, Wiley Online Library, Elsevier, Epistemonikos. Results: Of the total articles found, 60% were systematic reviews, 10% quasi-experimental, 20% descriptive and 10% experimental and all referred to the effect of noise intensity on newborns hospitalized in the neonatal ICU. 20% corresponds to Colombia and 10% to France, the United States, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Brazil and Iran with 10% respectively. Of the total evidence, 80% were of high quality and 20% of low quality. The intensity of noise in neonatal intensive care units affects the development of the hospitalized newborn. The evidence also mentions that noise affects the newborn, both physically and neurologically, leaving them hospitalized for several days. Studies indicate that not only the newborn is affected, but also the health personnel since they are the ones who spend most of the day in these units. Conclusion: The 10 articles show that the intensity of noise in the neonatal intensive care unit affects the development of the newborn physically and neurologically, leaving them hospitalized for several days.

Effectiveness of the use of earplugs to reduce exposure to noise pollution in workers
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-01-24) Fernández Torres, Margareth Johana; Mayorga Susanibar, Yosselin Karen; Palomino Taquire, Rewards
The study is a systematic review. In this project, 10 published scientific articles were included, no older than ten years. In addition, a search was conducted in the electronic literature of Epistemonikos, PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet to identify studies that reported on the effectiveness of the use of earplugs to reduce exposure to noise pollution in workers. Of the 10 articles included, 100% agree that the insertion buffers are effective, however, the level of noise attenuation provided in the manufacturer's technical sheets differs from that found in the test carried out for each of the protectors, in the In the case of the cup type, its effectiveness is 37% less than expected and for the insertion type, it is 59%. It is concluded that plug-type hearing protectors are effective in reducing noise exposure at different levels adjusted to different factors that can alter their performance index.

Environmental factors and stress level of the premature newborn in the Neonatal Units of a Specialized Institute, 2023
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-01-08) Fernandez Camargo, Saby Margarita; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
Introduction: Neonatal Units are environments where environmental factors predominate, such as noise from incubators, alarms and monitors, excessive illumination of lamps and spotlights in the environment and unnecessary handling during procedures, which alter the stress level of the patient. neonate during its extrauterine adaptation in the hospital environment, therefore, it is expected that the issue will be addressed to create alternative solutions that improve the quality of life and maturation of premature neonates. Objective: To determine the relationship between environmental factors and the stress level of the premature newborn in the Neonatal Units of a specialized Institute, 2023. Methods: Study with a quantitative approach, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional. The census sample will be made up of 100 premature newborns from ten Neonatal Units of the Lima Maternity Hospital. An observation guide will be used as an instrument for variable 1 and a survey for variable 2, both prepared in 2009 by Bonifacio and modified in 2017 by Salas, with high validity and reliability, turning out to be reliable instruments. The collection and processing of the data will be by the Excel and SPSS program, using the chi-square test and the Spearman correlation coefficient to evaluate the relationship between the variables.

Evidences of noise intensity in the neonatology unit
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-14) La Rosa Paucar, Maggi Yulissa; Uriol Mostacero, Cinthia Maribel; Matta Solis, Hernán Hugo
Objective: To systematize the evidence on the intensity of noise in the neonatal unit. Materials and methods: Systematic reviews are the method employed for this study, which will provide an answer to the formulated question by synthesizing the analyses of original articles, increasing the validity of the conclusions. The articles were critically selected, applying the Grade reliability system to define the level of evidence. During the process, studies were extracted from various scientific databases such as Scielo, Pubmed, Cochrane Plus, and Medline. A total of 10 articles were reviewed systematically, including 60% (n=6/10) systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) quasi-experimental studies, 10% (n=1/10) cohort studies, and 20% (n=2/10) descriptive studies. The countries of origin of the reviewed articles were Colombia (50%), followed by Brazil (30%), Mexico (10%), and Spain (10%). Results: The results show that 100% (n=10/10) of the studies indicate a high intensity of noise in the neonatal unit. Conclusion: The evidence demonstrates that the noise intensity in neonatal units, which house newborns, is above the levels recommended by international institutions and affects the development of newborns in various ways.

Exposure to noise as a contributing factor to work stress in health personnel in different hospital units
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-08-02) Cristóbal Mejia, Yenitza Elizabeth; Quiñonez Condor, Judith Lady; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
Objective: Systematize the evidence on noise exposure as a contributing factor to work stress in health personnel in different hospital units. Materials and Methods: Systematic Review where we seek to synthesize the evidence obtained from various primary and secondary investigations. We have relevant studies that answer the research question, in search we have a restriction of articles with the full title, as for the outstanding studies, they were subjected to the interpretation of the content applied strategic judgment, using the system called grade to identify the strength of the recommendation. Results: we have 10 selected articles, as a result of the review it was obtained that 3/10 (30%) studies were carried out in Brazil, 2/10 (20%) in Colombia, 2/10 (20%) in Mexico, 1 /10 (10%) in the United States, 1 /10 (10%) in Ecuador and 1 /10 (10%) in Chile. 50% of the evidence was of high quality, 10% of medium quality and 40% of low quality of evidence. 50% were systematic reviews, 30% were cross-sectional descriptive studies, 10% were expert opinions and 10% were cohort studies. Conclusions: Noise is a factor that contributes to stress in health workers in various hospital areas. In 3 of the 10 articles it is evident that the hearing threshold is different depending on the person, there are essential factors among them we have gender, age and marital status that increase the risks of suffering damage to this threshold. Each health personnel perceives noise differently. The noises generated in hospital units are not the only ones; we also have noises from the outside environment such as the noise of cars (horn), shouting of users, etc., which lead to human responses such as annoyance, lack of concentration, stress and this is reflected in work performance.

Occupational exposure to noise of workers in the welding workshop of an open pit mine in northern Peru, 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-25) Gamarra Castro, Lida Carmen; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa María
The occupational exposure to noise of workers in a welding workshop at an open-pit mine in northern Peru is evaluated based on two relevant factors: the location within the welding workshop and the specific activity performed by the workers. Ignorance of its influence could lead to an underestimation of the workers' noise exposure risk and, consequently, the effectiveness of the hearing conservation program. The objective of this research is to determine the occupational exposure to noise of the workers in the welding workshop. The approach is quantitative, with a cross-sectional, descriptive, and prospective design, of a longitudinal nature. The population will consist of 120 workers, and the stratified sample will include 70 workers, with 35 from the day shift and 35 from the night shift.

Relationship between environmental factors and the stress level of the premature newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit of a public hospital in Cusco, Peru in the period July - December 2022
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-10) Aragón Candia, Susan Leonor; Palomino Taquire, Rewards
Every year the number of premature births increases, requiring specialized care in a Neonatal ICU, which must be adapted to their needs; However, environmental factors (noise, light and manipulation) exceed what is recommended by the AAP, generating stress responses in them. Objective: Determine the relationship between environmental factors and the stress level of the premature newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit. Methodology: This research will be hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. For which we will work with the entire population. Data collection techniques and instruments: Two observation guides already validated and adapted by the author Salas (2017) will be used; to observe the environmental factors of the neonatal intensive care unit and the signs of stress in premature infants. Statistical analysis: The items will be coded, entered into an Excel template and exported to SPSS Statistics version 27.0 for processing and correlational analysis of the variables through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test to determine whether they have a normal distribution or not. . The results obtained will be expressed in statistical tables and graphs.
