Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between environmental factors and the stress level of the premature newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit of a public hospital in Cusco, Peru in the period July - December 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-10) Aragón Candia, Susan Leonor; Palomino Taquire, RewardsEvery year the number of premature births increases, requiring specialized care in a Neonatal ICU, which must be adapted to their needs; However, environmental factors (noise, light and manipulation) exceed what is recommended by the AAP, generating stress responses in them. Objective: Determine the relationship between environmental factors and the stress level of the premature newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit. Methodology: This research will be hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. For which we will work with the entire population. Data collection techniques and instruments: Two observation guides already validated and adapted by the author Salas (2017) will be used; to observe the environmental factors of the neonatal intensive care unit and the signs of stress in premature infants. Statistical analysis: The items will be coded, entered into an Excel template and exported to SPSS Statistics version 27.0 for processing and correlational analysis of the variables through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test to determine whether they have a normal distribution or not. . The results obtained will be expressed in statistical tables and graphs.
