The technique was the survey and the instrument was a previously validated 18-question questionnaire. The data will be coded and then entered into a database created in the MS Excel program for subsequent analysis with the statistical program. To identify the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of self-care in the group, frequency distribution tables will be obtained for the knowledge variable according to its classification scales (high, medium and low). To determine the relationship of the variables in adults, older adults with Diabetes Mellitus at the Huaral Base Health Center, the Stanones scale will be used, with the objective of obtaining the intervals for the final value categories for adults and older adults with Diabetes Mellitus. type 2 diabetes mellitus.
