Ítem Acceso abierto Modification of lifestyles in the management of obesity in children and adolescents(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-08) Montalbán Gonzáles, Anghella Gianella; Bohórquez Medina, Sofia LorenaEating habits in adolescence have a considerable influence on the nutritional states of adolescents, causing diseases due to malnutrition. The present secondary research entitled Critical Review: Eating Habits Associated With Overweight in Adolescent Patients, aimed to make a professional critical comment in accordance with the review of scientific articles of clinical studies related to the topic of eating habits and obesity in teenagers. The clinical question was: Are lifestyle interventions effective for weight control in children and adolescents who are overweight or obese? The search for articles was carried out in the following databases: Pubmed/MEDLINE, Science direct, WOS and SCOPUS, in which 36 articles were found, of which 20 articles were selected, which were evaluated using the CASPE tool, which allows critical reading, finally selecting the systematic review: “Impact of lifestyle intervention programs for children and adolescents with overweight or obesity on body weight and selected cardio-metabolic factors: a systematic review.” The critical comment allowed us to conclude that the systematic review study selected to answer the question reports that there is sufficient evidence to corroborate the effectiveness of lifestyle intervention in weight control in overweight or obese children and adolescents.
