The research problem is: What is the level of occupational stress in dentists from the Almenara Health Network - EsSalud, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire Lima-2016? Stress is a dangerous disease for both industrialized and developing economies, as it negatively affects production by harming the physical and mental health of workers. The objective was to determine the level of occupational stress in dentists from the Almenara Health Network - EsSalud, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire Lima-2016. The study was descriptive and cross-sectional, conducted at the Almenara Health Network. The sample consisted of 50 healthcare dentists working in outpatient consultations and rotating shifts. A non-probabilistic sample was used. Data collection techniques included the Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire, which is the most appropriate tool for assessing occupational stress, and the Chi-square test was applied. The results showed that 36% of the dentists experienced moderate stress, with depersonalization being the most prominent dimension, affecting 20% of the total dentists with medium to high levels of stress. It was concluded that 56% of the dentists had low stress in the emotional exhaustion dimension.Ítem Acceso abierto Cervical disability and work stress in workers of the San Miguel food and beverage company, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-04) Venegas Marquina, Estefani; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioSince the arrival of COVID-19, changes have occurred in various aspects of our lives, including those related to the work environment. Work modalities such as telecommuting, remote work, and hybrid work emerged as adaptations to continue work functions worldwide. In the case of Peru, according to the National Policy and Plan on Occupational Health and Safety 2017-2021 of the Ministry of Labor, the main occupational diseases affecting workers in the country include those caused by prolonged postures, such as dorsalgia, lumbalgia, and cervicalgia, which often lead to physical consequences in the way people work. This becomes even more important in the current context, as 57.2% of workers in Lima experience some level of work-related stress, which serves as a starting point for poor work quality of life and physical pain.Ítem Acceso abierto Cervical pain and work stress in the care staff of the Rímac 2023 Maternal and Child Center(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-14) Maco Ballona, Marilli Vanessa; Ventura Alarcón, Yadira SulemaCervical pain is a public health issue that affects nearly half of the global population. It can impair an individual’s functional capacity, affecting work activity and, in some cases, social life. The pain in the upper trapezius and scapular angle is the most common symptom of this condition. Pain in the muscles focuses on a specific area known as a “Trigger Point.”Ítem Acceso abierto Climate and work stress in workers of the District Municipality of Inambari-2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-19) Hurtado Cruz, Alex; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThis research aimed to determine the relationship between climate and work stress among workers at the District Municipality of Inambari in 2023. The methodology was quantitative, with a basic descriptive-correlational level, and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The Climate Scale CL-SPC and the Work Stress Scale OIT-OMS were applied to a sample of 95 administrative workers from the District Municipality of Inambari in the Madre de Dios region. The results indicated an inverse and significant relationship (p < 0.05), although with a minimal effect size, between work climate and work stress (rho = -0.383). It was concluded that negative perceptions of work environment aspects are related to maladaptive responses from workers due to a lack of resources to cope with the demands of this environment.Ítem Acceso abierto Job stress and performance in workers of a private occupational health company, Lima – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-02-28) Portocarrero Cabellos, Jeneffer Zafiro; Villarreal Zegarra, David RogelioThis study aimed to determine the relationship between stress and job performance in employees of a private Occupational Health company. A hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional method was used. A sample of 135 employees (68.9% male, 31.1% female) aged 18 to 30 years was selected. The Occupational Stress Scale (OIT – WHO) and the Job Performance Questionnaire were administered in person. The results revealed that 5.9% showed a high level of job stress, with organizational and team factors being the main source of stress (4.4%). However, 85.2% exhibited adequate job performance. It was also found that job stress correlates negatively, but weakly and significantly, with job performance (rho = -0.183; p < 0.05). It is concluded that lower levels of job stress lead to better job performance in employees of a private Occupational Health company.Ítem Acceso abierto Low back pain and work stress of care staff in the emergency area of the Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes Hospital in Paita, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-15) Baca Valdiviezo, Ariadna Sue Anne; Ventura Alarcón, Yadira SulemaAccording to the World Health Organization, lower back pain has been the leading cause of disability worldwide for many years. It is estimated that 80% of people will experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting longer than three months due to an injury. In modern times, work systems change or intensify, changing the workplace, daily schedules to complex shifts, as is the case with healthcare personnel. Similarly, the intensification of activities affects people's mental and emotional health, maximizing problems such as stress, fear, anxiety, or depression worldwide. Psychosocial factors have been analyzed for their influence on musculoskeletal disorders, with combined exposure to physical and psychosocial factors having more severe effects on workers' health than exposure to a single factor. Similarly, once an injury occurs, certain psychosocial factors are important in the transition from acute to chronic pain.Ítem Acceso abierto Occupational stressors and coping strategies of health personnel at the Gustavo Lanatta Luján health center in the SMP district, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-23) Eneque Mandujano, María Viviana; Reyes Callahuacho, David TitoThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between work-related stressors and coping strategies among healthcare workers at the Gustavo Lanatta Luján Health Center in the SMP district during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The research followed a hypothetical-deductive approach with a quantitative focus, basic level, and descriptive-correlational type. It utilized a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The study involved 50 healthcare workers, both male and female, from the Gustavo Lanatta Luján Health Center located in San Martín de Porres, Lima. The NSS Stress Scale, which measures work-related stressors, and the Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI) were used. Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality tests showed that the study variables did not follow a normal distribution. This suggests that work-related stressors and coping strategies are independent, and intervention from other staff qualities may be necessary for improving work performance.Ítem Acceso abierto Physical activity and work stress in workers at the Vitarte Hospital II ESSALUD 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-02) Gonzales Perez, Veronica Janeth; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudStress is a very common syndrome in the workplace, with 1 in 5 workers globally suffering from it. The instruments used were an observation form for dental wear and a questionnaire for occupational stress in drivers. The Spearman's R statistical test was applied, with the results showing a significance level of 0.598, which is greater than 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the null hypothesis and the rejection of the alternative hypothesis, stating that there is no significant relationship between dental wear and occupational stress. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between dental wear and occupational stress.Ítem Acceso abierto Stress levels and musculoskeletal disorders in carriers public of a Lima-2022 company(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-02) Chapoñan Añanca, Billy Robert; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudIntroduction: In our vehicle fleet, there are approximately 1,800,000 vehicles on the roads, meaning that 66% of vehicles are on Peruvian routes. This indicates that, due to transportation chaos, public transport drivers work many hours, adopting static and inadequate postures, leading to muscular pain in various body segments and psychosocial stress problems. Objective: To determine the relationship between stress levels and musculoskeletal disorders in public transport drivers of a company. Materials and Methods: The study method is hypothetical-deductive. According to Baena (2017), ideas are developed from general concepts to specific ones, forming hypotheses that are tested or affirmed. Deduction includes certainty and truth, and conclusions should be compared with reality. Research Approach: Variable 1: Stress levels, Variable 2: Musculoskeletal disorders, Intervening variable: Sociodemographic factors. Baena (2017) argues that the technique is the way or manner in which the method is applied in the research. The techniques used in this study will be observation and surveys. Instruments used will include the Nordic Questionnaire for musculoskeletal disorders and the Perceived Stress Scale for stress levels. Data collection will occur at a set time and as follows: permission will be requested from the company's HR manager, followed by providing informed consent, with a copy given to the participant. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes. The data collection form will be divided into: a) Sociodemographic information (age 18-60, sex, education level), b) Stress levels (Perceived Stress Scale), c) Musculoskeletal disorders (Nordic Questionnaire). Description of instruments: A data collection form will be used for sociodemographics, which will include age (18 to 60 years), sex (male/female), and education level (primary, secondary, or higher). The study will be quantitative, following Hernández's (2014) assertion that the study should be structured. Questions and objectives are developed based on ideas and research, leading to measurable hypotheses and analysis of results. Type of Research: This is an applied study, according to Baena (2017), aimed at studying and implementing practical solutions. Research Design: The study is non-experimental, with a cross-sectional design (Hernández, 2014) and correlational scope, as the study seeks to relate two variables in a specific context. Population, Sample, and Sampling: The population consists of 120 drivers and conductors working for the Los Chinos transport company from November 2021 to March 2022. The sample, as per Hernández (2014), is the subset of the population where the research will be carried out, representing the population. The sample for this study is 93 public transport drivers.Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and self-efficacy for coping with stress in health personnel of a state hospital in Metropolitan Lima, intimes of the COVID-19 pandemic, year 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-27) Valencia Huangal, Amelia; Valencia Pecho, Diego IsmaelThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work stress and self-efficacy for coping with stress among healthcare professionals in Metropolitan Lima.
