Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-18) Cáceres López, Maribel; Marín Honorio, Maria Betty; Matta Solis, Eduardo PercyObjective: Analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's. Materials and Methods: The design was an observational systematic review. The sample was made up of ten articles that met the selection criteria. The search was carried out in a high-impact database, using keywords and Boolean operators in the search. Results: Of the ten articles reviewed, 3/10 (10%) belong to the Asian continent (Republic of Korea). 5/10 (50%) were systematic reviews, 2/10 (20%) were randomized trials, 2/10 (20%) were longitudinal cohort designs, and 1/10 (10%) were experimental. 8/10 (80%) studies obtained significant favorable results, while 2/10 (20%) did not obtain significant results. The relevant factors to demonstrate the effectiveness of occupational therapy were the duration and number of therapies, likewise, it is necessary to individualize the type of therapy in the patient according to the degree of cognitive impairment. Conclusions: The studies reviewed show the effectiveness of occupational therapy in the cognitive deterioration of older adults with Alzheimer's.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of an educational intervention on knowledge about healthy eating and physical activity in primary school students(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Fernández Paredes, Silvia Milagros; Huiza Guardia, Gladys Asunta; Krederdt Araujo, Sherin LuzObjective: Determine the effectiveness of an educational intervention on knowledge about healthy eating and physical activity in primary school students. Material and methods: The Systematic Review [SR] with an observational and retrospective research design that synthesizes the results of 18 indexed scientific articles to answer the problem question of the present study. The algorithms and Boolean operators used were: primary level schoolchildren AND children, healthy eating OR nutrition, physical activity OR physical education, program OR intervention OR education. Results: Of the 18 scientific articles reviewed, 55% were from Spanish journals and the remaining 45% were from American journals (Chile, Mexico, Venezuela and Cuba). The country with the highest number of scientific articles on our continent is Mexico with 4 articles (22%). According to the design and type of study, 61% had a quasi-experimental design (n=11/18), only 11% were experimental, with approximately one-fifth (22%) of the studies being cross-sectional (n=4/18). 18).Conclusion: Among the most relevant findings, the educational intervention program on healthy eating and physical activity for primary school students is effective in increasing knowledge of healthy eating and physical activity, however, there is insufficient evidence. to show that they decrease overweight in primary school students.Ítem Acceso abierto Musculoskeletal symptoms and level of ergonomic risks in operators of a well exploration company in Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-26) Salguero Juárez, Evonny Lizbeth; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudThe work carried out by workers in various production environments should be performed in such a way as to avoid pain or injury to the workers' bodies. A discipline dedicated to this study is ergonomics, which helps determine the level of risk workers face in developing ailments based on how they perform their tasks. Physiotherapy can use ergonomic tools, as it provides valuable information not only on how injuries occur but also as a preventive measure for musculoskeletal disorders resulting from work. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the risks faced by workers, especially those who perform manual labor, due to the clear exposure and risks involved in their daily tasks.
