Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge of cervical cancer and preventive practices in users treated at the Regional Hospital of Huacho, 2021.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-17) Cerna Destres, Georgina Del Socorro; García Puicón, Lady YaninaObjective: To determine the relationship between knowledge of cervical cancer and preventive practices among users treated at the Huacho Regional Hospital in 2021. Methodology: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 120 women treated in the Obstetrics consultation at the Huacho Regional Hospital, and the sample included 92 users. A survey was developed based on the variables for data processing. Results: Regarding the sociodemographic factors of the users, it was found that 75.0% were cohabiting. As for the level of knowledge, 59.8% had a medium level of knowledge. Regarding preventive practices for cervical cancer, 89.1% of the users did not undergo a Pap smear after initiating sexual activity, and 63.0% of the users performed preventive practices for cervical cancer correctly. Conclusion: It was concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge of cervical cancer and preventive practices among users treated at the Huacho Regional Hospital in 2021.
