Material and methods: Information was collected from different scientific articles in the Scielo, Liliacs database where the articles were selected according to the level of evidence and degree of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen where we found that 70% (07) correspond to Peru, with 10% (01) Paraguay, another 10% (01) Argentina and finally Cuba with 10% (01) respectively. . Of the studies found, 50% are quasi-experimental studies and the other 50% are descriptive. Of the total number of articles analyzed, 80% affirm that supplementation has a positive impact on the prevention of anemia and only 20% do not give greater relevance to supplementation for the prevention of anemia in children under 36 months. Conclusions: According to the studies carried out, it is concluded that there is a positive impact on the prevention of anemia.
