The objective was to compare three coproparasitological methods for diagnosing intestinal parasitosis in children aged 4 to 11 at the Virgen del Rosario School in the Ventanilla District in 2018. Materials and methods: The research was descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, and prospective. A total of 100 fecal samples were analyzed using the Direct Method, the Spontaneous Sedimentation in Tube Technique (SSTT), and the Sheather Technique. Results: The study evidenced polyparasitic infections by protozoa: Entamoeba coli, Endolimax nana, Iodamoeba butschilii, and Giardia lamblia (the latter being the most prevalent at 33%). No helminths were found. The SSTT showed good performance with high sensitivity and specificity for Giardia lamblia, Iodamoeba butschilii, and Entamoeba coli (100%), and for Endolimax nana (92.2% and 100%, respectively). Conclusions: It was demonstrated that the Spontaneous Sedimentation in Tube Technique (SSTT) was highly sensitive and specific as a diagnostic test for determining enteroparasitosis, suggesting it could become a useful alternative in developing countries like ours.Publicación Acceso abierto Intervenciones educativas basadas en la evidencia para la mejora de los conocimientos sobre prevención de parasitosis intestinal en niños en etapa preescolar y escolar.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-02) Núñez Henriquez, Lizet Magali; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleLa revisión sistemática de los 10 artículos científicos encontrados fueron hallados en la base de datos Lilacs, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed; fueron analizados según la escala de Grade. Donde el 100% de las intervenciones educativas son efectivas en la prevención de enfermedades parasitarias mediante programas de intervenciones educativas con recursos didácticos.
