Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and practices of nursing staff in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit of the hospital El Carmen – Huancayo 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-03-10) Ramos Porras, Soledad Olimpia; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoObjective: Analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practices of nursing staff in the prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital El Carmen – Huancayo 2024. Methodological Design: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, approach quantitative, non-experimental cross-sectional design and correlational scope. Population: The population will be made up of 56 nursing graduates who work in the Intensive Care Unit of the El Carmen Maternal and Child Hospital, Huancayo 2023. The type of sampling will be non-probabilistic for convenience and the sample universe will be made up of 56 nurses who represent the of the entire population, because in this type of sampling the sample is chosen according to the accessibility and proximity of the subjects to the researcher. Technique: the survey will be used in its questionnaire mode and an observation sheet. Instruments: A questionnaire containing multiple choice questions was used for the first variable and a checklist containing dichotomous questions for the second variable. Statistical processing and data analysis: Descriptive techniques will be applied to evaluate the frequency distribution of the variables and dimensions; and an inferential analysis will be carried out to test the hypothesis using Pearson's Spearman's Rho case as appropriate.Ítem Acceso abierto Risk factors related to pneumonia due to mechanical ventilation in critical patients in the intensive care unit in a public hospital in Lima, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-03-10) De La Cruz Matta, Margarita Patricia; Cabrera Espezua, Jeannelly PaolaObjective: Determine the risk factors related to pneumonia due to mechanical ventilation in critical patients in the Intensive Care Unit in a Public Hospital in Lima, 2024. Methodology: Hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, type of applied research, non-specific design. experimental, correlational cross section. Population: 160 patients, resulting in a sample of 82 patients. For the measurement of variables, García's work will be taken into account in 2022. The technique used for both study variables will be observation. The instrument for variable 1 of “Risk factors” is a data collection sheet and for variable 2 of “Pneumonia due to Mechanical Ventilation” the instrument will be a Pulmonary Infection Clinical Assessment Scale (CPIS). The validation included the judgment of three experts on the two instruments, finding a value of 0.806 for No. 1 and 0.83 for No. 2. Regarding reliability, it was through the Cronbach's alpha test. obtained a result of 0.93 for No. 1 and a value of 0.87 for No. 2, which indicated that its application is reliable. Patient data collection will be tabulated in tables and graphs. Finally, the proposed objective will be resolved by evaluating the relationship between the two variables with the Rho Spearman coefficient.Ítem Acceso abierto Severity of the disease of the patients and workload of the nursing staff in the intensive care unit in the high complexity hospital - 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-31) Casanova Chamache, Rocio Jackelyne; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleObjective: To determine the relationship that exists between the severity of the patients' illness with the workload of the nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit in a High Complexity Hospital -2021. Methods: The study is hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, of a basic research type, of a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional design. The validated instruments will be applied: the APACHE II Scale and the Therapeutic Intervention Rating System (TISS-28), to 30 nurses who work in the Intensive Care Unit in the High Complexity Hospital. Conclusions: In this research project, it will contribute to the knowledge about the relationship between the severity of the patient's illness and the workload that exists in nurses in the intensive care unit, since it has been little investigated at the national level. The results of the study will help develop better strategies for the organization and distribution of nursing staff, thereby ensuring that patients receive complete, humanized, quality care and reducing the workload of nursing staff, always taking into account the attitudes and actions of the nurse.
