Arteriovenous fistula in the prevention of complictions in an adult patient in treatment of hemodialysis
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-03-08) Bazán Lazarte, Fresia Julissa; Panca Mamani, Yessenia Erika; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo Amado
Objective: To systematize the results of arteriovenous fistulas in preventing complications in adult patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Material and Methods: A systematic, observational, and retrospective review of a quantitative nature, subjected to critical evaluation using the GRADE assessment method to indicate the level of evidence. The articles were found in the following databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, Wiley Online Library, Elsevier, and Epistemonikos. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 40% (n=4/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n=1/10) is a meta-analysis, 20% (n=2/10) are cross-sectional reviews, 20% (n=2/10) are prospective reviews, and 10% (n=1/10) is a case-control study. According to the evaluation of the systematic review, the articles came from Cuba, followed by Spain and Mexico. Results: All the evaluations found (100%, n=10/10) indicate that arteriovenous fistulas cause fewer complications than a venous catheter. Conclusion: The use of arteriovenous fistulas is more effective in treating adult patients undergoing hemodialysis.

Effectiveness in the consultation of nursing in remote monitoring for the reduction of complications in patients with implantable devices in cardiology
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-07-14) Paredes Huamán, Clotilde Rosa; Torres Cabrera, Vanessa del Carmen; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle
Objective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of remote monitoring in nursing consultations to reduce complications in patients with implantable cardiology devices. Materials and methods: Systematic review, using the GRADE evaluation system. Databases: Cochrane Library, Lilacs, Scielo, Medline Pubmed, Elsevier, Redalyc, Epistemonikos. Of the studies, 50% are systematic reviews, 20% clinical trials, 20% meta-analysis, and 10% cohort studies. 90% of the articles are of high quality and strong strength of evidence, 10% of moderate quality and strong strength of evidence. Of the 10 studies, 40% are from the USA, 20% from Spain, 20% from Mexico, 10% from Australia, and 10% from Uruguay. Results: All the articles systematically reviewed indicate the effectiveness of remote monitoring in nursing consultations to reduce complications in patients with implantable cardiology devices. Conclusions: The studies show that remote monitoring of implantable devices in patients with heart disease is an effective, reliable and safe system that allows the detection of arrhythmias or abnormalities in the device, optimizes patient monitoring and can prevent complications such as infections, device abnormalities, among others. Likewise, they have demonstrated a large number of benefits for the monitoring and care of the patient by the health team, where the specialized nurse trained in remote monitoring consultation has a transcendental management role.

Effectiveness of therapeutic cooling in the decrease of complications in the neonate with ischemical hypxical- encephalopathy
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-08-04) Aparcana Palacios, Ada María; Matta Solis, Hernán Hugo
Objective: To systematize the effectiveness of therapeutic cooling in reducing complications in hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Material and Methods: A quantitative observational and retrospective systematic review, carried out with an elective evaluation using the Grade method to identify the level of evidence, located in the various data sources: PubMed, Scielo, Cochrane Library and Elsevier. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 40% (n = 4/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n = 1/10) are retrospective studies and 10% (n = 1/10) are randomized trials, 10% (n = 1/10) case-control studies, 10% (n = 1/10) prospective multicenter cohort trial, 10% (n = 1/10) longitudinal non-experimental study, 20% (n = 2/10) are observational cohort studies. According to the effects obtained in the systematic review carried out in the current study, they derive from the countries of Spain (20%), followed by the United States (20%), Australia (10%), France (10%), London (10%), Uruguay (10%), Colombia (10%), Canada (10%) Results: Consequently, of the findings found, 100% (n = 10/10) indicate that therapeutic cooling is effective as a treatment to reduce complications in newborns with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Conclusion: Therapeutic cooling is effective as a treatment to reduce complications in newborns with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.
