Ítem Acceso abierto Non-pharmacological interventions for anxiety control in adult patients with cardiovascular disease during the preoperative period(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-12-02) Cencia Mayta, Yovana; Cordova Flores, Keylith Karen; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: To systematize the evidence on non-pharmacological interventions for anxiety control in adult patients with cardiovascular disease during the preoperative period. Material and Methods: Systematic review. The search was restricted to full-text articles, which were critically analyzed using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, with 20% from Brazil, another 20% from China, and 60% from six different countries: the United Kingdom, France, Iran, the United States, Greece, and Germany. Of the studies reviewed, 80% were randomized clinical trials from Iran, the United States, Greece, China, and Germany, while 20% were systematic reviews from the United Kingdom and France. 90% of the total articles analyzed showed positive effects when applying non-pharmacological interventions to control anxiety in adult patients with cardiovascular disease during the preoperative period. Conclusions: The reviewed research shows that non-pharmacological interventions control anxiety in adult patients with cardiovascular disease during the preoperative period, reducing complications and recovery time.
