    Autocuidado y calidad de vida en pacientes con terapia de diálisis peritoneal de un Hospital Público de Lima Centro, 2024

    Introducción: La calidad de vida de los pacientes con diálisis peritoneal es un tema poco explorado por la comunidad científica, a pesar de su relevancia destacada por la Sociedad Latinoamericana de Nefrología e Hipertensión donde indica que existe una necesidad urgente de mejorar el acceso a esta terapia en regiones remotas donde las dificultades de acceso son significativas. Ampliar el acceso podría beneficiar a numerosos pacientes que actualmente carecen de atención adecuada. El autocuidado es fundamental para mantener el catéter de diálisis peritoneal y prevenir complicaciones. Objetivo: Determinar de qué manera la percepción del autocuidado se relaciona con la calidad de vida de los pacientes que reciben terapia de diálisis peritoneal. Métodos: Se utilizó un estudio con un enfoque cuantitativo, hipotético deductivo de diseño longitudinal y no experimental que incluyo una muestra de 98 pacientes. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos para la recolección de datos “Appraisal of Self-care Agency Scale (ASA)” de autocuidado y de resiliencia el instrumento “Internacional Quality of Life Assessment (IQUOLA)”, validados previamente en el contexto nacional. Se usará como técnica la encuesta para aplicar ambos cuestionarios. La información recopilada se procesará utilizando el software estadístico SPSS versión 25, con el fin de elaborar tablas, gráficos, y llevar a cabo el análisis descriptivo, así como determinar el grado de relación entre las variables abordadas.

    Autocuidado y calidad de vida en pacientes sometidos a diálisis peritoneal de un hospital nacional de Huancayo 2025

    Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de autocuidado con la calidad de vida en pacientes sometidos a diálisis peritoneal del Hospital de Huancayo. Método: La investigación utilizará el método hipotético-deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, de nivel descriptivo correlacional con población total de 90 pacientes adultos con insuficiencia renal crónica sometidos a diálisis peritoneal en un Hospital Nacional de Huancayo del año 2024. Se utilizó el instrumento de “Valoración de la capacidad de Autocuidado del Paciente”, adaptado por la investigadora peruana Lic. Aguirre Terzi, Stephany y el cuestionario de la salud SF-36 “Estado de Salud”. Se realizo el análisis de datos mediante el programa de SPSS. 25.0, el cual fueron colocados en tablas y figuras en los programas Microsoft Office Word 2016 y Microsoft Office Excel 2016, después de ello se utilizaron en análisis de correlación de Spearman lo cual ayudo en las descripciones de todas las variables de este estudio y para las contrastaciones de hipótesis se hicieron mediante el análisis de Wilcoxon.

La Metodología del proyecto es una investigación cuantificable medible, conformada por usuarios que reciben tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal de un hospital de lima Aplicaremos dos métodos de validación para la recolección de datos, la cual se obtendrá una respuesta a la hipótesis que se plantea los cuales se medirán cuantitativamente, la investigación se basa en las normas éticas.

    Calidad de atención y satisfacción de pacientes con tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal atendidos en una clínica de Huancayo 2025

    El objetivo de la investigación es determinar la relación entre la calidad de atención y la satisfacción de pacientes con tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal atendidos en una Clínica de Huancayo. Metodología: se empleará un método hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado con diseño no experimental, correlacional transversal; la población estará constituido por 80 pacientes en tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal, la muestra será censal contando así con la participación del 100% de los pacientes, el muestreo será no probabilístico por conveniencia, para la recolección de datos se hará uso de la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario para cada variable, de 18 ítems para la calidad de atención y 22 ítems para la satisfacción, las cuales cuentan con validez y confiabilidad. El análisis de los datos se realizará utilizando técnicas de estadística descriptiva e inferencial; a través de programas estadísticos e informáticos como Microsoft Excel (.xls), SPSS versión 27.0 y para contrastar la hipótesis se empleará el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman.

    Clinical benefits of peritoneal dialysis in the treatment of patients with refractory heart failure

    This is a systematic review of 10 investigations at the national and international level, where it was found that 60% of the investigations found correspond to Spain, 20% Argentina, 10% the United States and 10% Colombia. The majority have been analyzed: 40% descriptive studies, 20% experimental studies and 10% systematic reviews. Results: 90% of the studies show that peritoneal dialysis is a good option in the management of refractory heart failure, and 60% show benefits in functional class, improvement in costs and effectiveness, decrease in mortality, decrease in hospital admissions, it also achieves a positive impact on the quality of life reported by the patient. Conclusions: peritoneal dialysis benefits the patient in functional class in 60% of patients with heart failure.

    Conocimiento y práctica sobre autocuidado en pacientes en diálisis peritoneal ambulatoria de un hospital de la región Apurímac, 2024

    Introducción: El siguiente estudio se realizó en un hospital de la región Apurímac, a pacientes incluidos en el programa de diálisis peritoneal, que es un tratamiento alternativo para la función renal, así el paciente puede realizar fácilmente el procedimiento en casa, demandando un alto conocimiento y práctica adecuada para un óptimo tratamiento. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre autocuidado en pacientes en diálisis peritoneal ambulatoria (DPA) en un hospital de la región Apurímac, 2024. Metodología: Se utilizó un método deductivo hipotético, de naturaleza cuantitativo, con un nivel de aplicación descriptivo y correlacional, la muestra será de 80 pacientes en diálisis peritoneal, utilizándose instrumentos como: cuestionario sobre el conocimiento del autocuidado, tomado de Montalvo, el cual está compuesto por 15 preguntas, una lista de verificación para las prácticas de autocuidado de los autores de Mera y Suclupe que consta de 11 ítems, ambos instrumentos debidamente validados con un alto nivel de confiabilidad, de 0.725 de alfa de Cronbach para el cuestionario de conocimiento del autocuidado y 0.750 para la lista de verificación de prácticas de autocuidado, en la recolección de datos, se utilizaron herramientas y la información fue capturada en una base de datos donde queda registrada, realizándose un análisis tanto descriptivo como inferencial.

    Dependence of the elderly in peritoneal dialysis and its relationship with caregiver overload in the nephrology service of an EsSalud hospital in Huánuco, Huánuco 2022

    Introduction: Currently, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), the increase in the population of older adults increases rapidly year after year due to the aging of people. This age group has different sensory complications such as hearing loss, visual loss, arthritic pathology, diabetes, depression, etc. so they need all the support to deal with their problems. Objective: To determine how the dependence of the elderly on peritoneal dialysis is related to the caregiver's overload in the nephrology service of an EsSalud hospital in Huánuco, 2022. Methodology: the research methodology will be deductive, hypothetical, investigative, of a quantitative and applied approach because it seeks to discover new knowledge. The Barthel Index instrument will be used to calculate the variable degree of dependence of the elderly, the instrument was modified and validated by Wade and Hewer who evaluated it in 572 patients with cardiovascular accidents, checking it with motor indicators, the results showed 0.73 and 0.77 indicating significant correlation. In the calculation of the caregiver overload variable, the Zarit scale instrument will be used, which was modified in 2008 by Alfaro; it acquired a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.89, demonstrating its validity and reliability.

    Effectiveness of antibiotics in peritonitis associated with peritoneal dialysis

    Objective: To analyze and systematize the evidence on the efficacy of antibiotics in peritonitis associated with peritoneal dialysis. Materials and Methods: The study type was quantitative with a systematic review design. The population consisted of 25 articles, and the sample was 10 published scientific articles. The instrument used was a search in databases such as Scielo, Cochrane Plus, Pubmed, Medline, and Epistemonikos. The GRADE system was used for article evaluation, assessing the quality of evidence and the strength of recommendations. Results: 80% of the studies report efficacy, while 20% found them ineffective. Conclusions: 8 out of 10 articles were effective in reducing future complications through the use of first-line, broad-spectrum antibiotics that covered both gram-negative and gram-positive organisms. These antibiotics were easy to administer and did not cause adverse effects. 2 out of 10 articles concluded that antibiotics were not effective, as no superior treatments were identified that could reduce the disease.

    Effectiveness of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis compared to automated peritoneal dialysis in improving the quality of life in patients with end-stage chronic renal failure

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis compared to automated peritoneal dialysis to improve quality of life in patients with end-stage chronic renal failure. Materials and methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, which consists of the search, location, recovery, analysis and integration of scientific knowledge on a specific research question, which allows minimizing biases that synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. They are an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology and high quality of evidence, using the grade system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: According to the results obtained from the systematic review, they show that, of the total of 11 articles reviewed, 54.5% (n=06/11) of these, show that both continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and automated peritoneal dialysis have similar results. in quality of life.Conclusions: Both continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis and automated peritoneal dialysis have similar results in quality of life.

    Objective: To systematize the available evidence on the effectiveness of peritoneal dialysis compared to hemodialysis in improving the survival of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Materials and Methods: This study is a systematic review, observational, and retrospective design that synthesizes the results of multiple investigations. They are an essential part of Evidence-Based Nursing (EBN), due to their rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to answer specific clinical practice questions. The search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles underwent critical reading, using the Grade system to assign the strength of recommendations. Twelve scientific articles were reviewed, of which 64% (08) were from Spain, 22% (02) from Ecuador, 7% (01) from Argentina, and 7% (01) from Mexico; all studies were systematic reviews, making up 100% (12) of the total. Results: It was found that 64% (07) of the studies show that peritoneal dialysis is more effective than hemodialysis in improving the survival of patients with chronic kidney disease. Additionally, 14.5% (02) show that both are effective in improving survival. Furthermore, 14.5% (02) show that patients treated with hemodialysis had better survival than those treated with peritoneal dialysis. Finally, 7% (01) of the studies did not allow the effectiveness of either treatment to be determined. Conclusions: Peritoneal dialysis is more effective than hemodialysis in improving the survival of patients with chronic kidney disease. Peritoneal dialysis is a more efficient alternative than hemodialysis, being a renal replacement therapy with greater survival rates, as well as better cost-benefit and cost-utility.

    Emotional reactions in the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis

    Systematize the evidence on emotional reactions in the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. This is a systematic, observational, and retrospective review, in which several articles containing full-text were examined, and the selected editions were subject to a thorough reading according to the GRADE system. Ten articles were selected that relate to emotional reactions in the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Of these, 20% (2/10) are descriptive studies, 70% (7/10) are analytical cohort studies, and 10% (1/10) are meta-analyses. Among the articles reviewed, 30% (3/10) were from Spain, 20% (2/10) from Mexico, 10% (1/10) from China, 10% (1/10) from Iran, 10% (1/10) from Saudi Arabia, 10% (1/10) from Cuba, and 10% (1/10) from Greece. Conclusions: Peritoneal dialysis is better in terms of quality of life for patients with chronic renal failure regarding emotional state.

    Factors associated with peritonitis in patients at the peritoneal dialysis unit Hospital Guillermo Almenara Essalud, Lima, 2020

    General Objective: To analyze the factors associated with peritonitis in patients in the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit of the Guillermo Almenara Essalud Hospital. Material, Methods: Quantitative approach, non-experimental correlational methodological design, cross-sectional. Simple random probability sampling. Population: Population 242 patients, period January - December 2019. Inclusion criterion over 18 years of age, exclusion criterion under 18 years of age. Conceptual definition of the main variable factors associated with peritonitis: Risk factors such as diabetes, race, obesity, climates, nose infections and stress. Cloudy peritoneal fluids assumed to be peritonitis, due to inflammation of the peritoneum due to the entry of microorganisms into the peritoneal cavity, through intraluminal, transmural and hematogenous routes. Operational definition of the main variable factors associated with peritonitis: Response obtained by instrument Sociodemographic Variables: Age, Sex, Education, person responsible for care, origin. Clinics: Treatment time, Disease causing chronic renal failure, Therapy modality: CAPD and DPA, Related to the occurrence of Peritonitis: Causal Germ, Number of episodes. Data collection technique You will use a data collection form, you will use SPSS 25 for analysis, preparation of tables and graphs. Statistical analysis methods You will apply descriptive statistics, frequency tables for sociodemographic data, and measures of central tendency.

    Factors associated with peritonitis in patients with peritoneal dialysis

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the factors associated with peritonitis in patients with peritoneal dialysis. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, consisting of 10 articles that synthesize the results of multiple primary investigations. They are an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to their rigorous methodology, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions of clinical practice, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading. using the grade system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection of 10 articles, we found that 30% correspond to China, and 10% (01) Colombia, Turkey, Ukraine, Istanbul, Brazil, Spain and Australia They have been studied in mostly Cohort studies at 60%, mainly in the countries of China(03), Colombia, Spain and Ukraine; and 30% Cases and controls belonging to Türkiye, Taiwan and Australia; finally 10% cross-sectional study corresponding to Brazil. Where of the total number of articles analyzed, 50% affirm that hypoalbuminemia is a factor associated with peritonitis in patients with peritoneal dialysis. Conclusions: It was evident in the reviewed research that hypoalbuminemia, advanced age and treatment time are the factors associated with peritonitis in peritoneal dialysis.

    Family support and self-care capacity of peritoneal dialysis patients at Ramiro Priale Priale Essalud hospital - Huancayo, 2020

    Materials and methods: This research work has a quantitative approach, descriptive method, cross-sectional design, and correlational. The population will be made up of 50 patients treated in the Peritoneal Dialysis Service at the Ramiro Priale Priale Hospital of ESSALUD – Huancayo. The instruments used in this study were developed by nursing graduates Gil Bazán Cinthia Marisol and Ramos Sanes Sara Carmen; whose validity of the instruments was evaluated through expert judgment; The results were subjected to the binomial test, obtaining the statistical significance value of (p = 0.023). Regarding confidentiality, it was tested through the Cronbach's Alpha statistic (α=0.84). The technique will be a survey and as an instrument two structured questionnaires, Likert scale type, composed of closed questions, consisting of an introduction, general and specific data on family support and self-care capacity of the patient in the Peritoneal Dialysis Service at the Ramiro Hospital. Priale Priale de ESSALUD – Huancayo, 2020. To carry out the statistical analysis methodology, once the data information has been collected, it will be coded in the Microsoft Excel program; Likewise, the SPSS Statistical Program version 25.0 will be used to carry out the findings or results of the study, which will be expressed in tables and bar or pie graphs, depending on the variable and dimensions of the study. These will help to carry out the discussion with the background of the study, and in turn the possible conclusions and recommendations of the study will be made.

    Knowledge and self-care in patients with home peritoneal dialysis in Ayacucho, 2023

    Kidney disease constitutes a serious public health problem, due to the effects it has on the health and life of the human beings who are affected. For this reason, this study has been proposed as the General Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and self-care in patients with home peritoneal dialysis in Ayacucho, 2023. Materials and Methods: the study will be supported by applied, hypothetical research. deductive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational, which will demonstrate that the relationships between the two study variables are feasible and whose instrument measurements (surveys/questionnaires) will be reliable as they are applied and validated in Peru by Pardo's work in the year 2022. The population will be made up of 80 patients with Home Peritoneal Dialysis in Ayacucho. The validation of the instruments will be through expert judgment and with values of p = 0.0023 for the first variable and p = 0.0031 for the second variable. Likewise, the reliability of KR-20 = 0.86 for the first variable and α = 0.89 for the second variable. The processing and analysis of the data will be carried out with the Microsoft Excel version 2019 and SPSS Statistics version 25.0 programs. The subsequent analyzes and explanations will be carried out in tabular and/or graphical form, and the results will be analyzed and interpreted for discussion on a theoretical basis. The Spearman (Rho) correlation test will also be used to verify the hypothesis

    Introduction: Patients on peritoneal dialysis therapies are at risk of generating some complication as a result of the treatment, this requires patients to increase their participation in their own care and in the process of their treatment. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of self-care knowledge and complications in peritoneal dialysis patients at the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Priale Priale EsSalud Huancayo-2023. Methods: Basic, non-experimental-correlational and cross-sectional study. The sample will consist of 100 patients on peritoneal dialysis at the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Priale Priale in Huancayo. A survey will be used where the ASA questionnaire will be applied and a form will be used, both validated and reliable to measure both variables. The data collected will be processed in SPSS 28 and the hypotheses will be tested using the Spearman's correlation test because the variables are qualitative in nature.

    El presente estudio tiene por objetivo determinar como el nivel de resiliencia se relaciona con la calidad de vida de los pacientes con tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal del Hospital II Huamanga Es Salud. El estudio se fundamenta en la teoría de Luthar cuando afirma que la calidad de vida es el punto vital del ser humano y determina la adaptación positiva desde la resiliencia, como un factor emocional. La investigación se basa en el enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético-deductivo, de tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental, alcance correlacional, y transversal descriptivo. La muestra está conformada por 60 pacientes con tratamiento de diálisis peritoneal en el Hospital II Huamanga EsSalud 2023. El instrumento a emplear es el test de resiliencia de Wagnild y Young para la variable resiliencia y el cuestionario de salud EORQOL-5D para la variable calidad de vida. Para el procesamiento de los datos se empleará el SPSS 25.0.

    Nivel de sobrecarga y calidad de vida del cuidador primario del paciente en diálisis peritoneal en una institución del MINSA, Lima 2024

    Introducción: La sobrecarga afecta la calidad de vida de los cuidadores primarios puede resultar una reducción de la prestación de cuidados que pueden brindarles a diario ocasionando un deterioro de la condición del familiar quien se encuentra afectado con ERC; siendo el deterioro condición del paciente puede aumentar la carga del cuidado y generar un círculo vicioso, y si no se realiza una intervención oportuna, puede llevar a un agotamiento gradual de los cuidadores; por tanto, la semejanza de estas presiones en los cuidadores es un compromiso decisivo que a la postre desmedra su salud física y mental. Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre nivel de sobrecarga y calidad de vida del cuidador primario del paciente en diálisis peritoneal en una institución del MINSA, Lima 2024. Métodos: El estudio será hipotético-deductivo, cuantitativo, básica y correlacional. La población conformada por 120 cuidadores primarios y la muestra de 92, siendo el muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Para el proceso y análisis de los datos de la encuesta, se clasifica la información recolectada, luego se codifica, ya recolectado los datos se organizará de acuerdo a sus variables, se procesara utilizando el programa Microsoft Excel 2019 y el software estadístico SPSS versión 26.0 para generar tablas y/o gráficos por dimensiones e indicadores de las variables; asimismo, se usará para determinar la relación entre variables mediante la Prueba de Correlación de Spearman (Rho).

    Perception about the disease in patients with chronic renal failure in the nephrology service of a national hospital in Lima

    Objective: Determine the perception of the disease in patients with chronic renal failure in the Nephrology service of a National Hospital in Lima. Material and method: This work used the quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive and transversal design. We worked with the population of 70 patients with chronic renal failure, who met the selection criteria. The survey was used as a data collection technique and the instrument was the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire. Results: Regarding the perception of the disease in patients with chronic kidney disease, 44 patients representing 62.9% presented a threat to the patient. Regarding its dimensions, perception of symptoms and representation of the disease, 63% do not present a threat, in the control of the disease, 67% present a threat, and finally, in knowledge about the disease, 59% present a threat to the patient. Conclusions: Regarding the perception of the disease in patients with chronic kidney disease, more than half presented a threat to the patient. In its dimensions, the most affected was that of disease control.
