Ítem Acceso abierto Body mass index and associated factors in workers at a hospital in Lima, 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-03) Vigo Tafur, Livia; León Cáceres, Johanna del CarmenDetermine the factors associated with the Body Mass Index in health workers at a hospital in Lima: 93 workers from the health facility were studied, including women and men between 19 and 60 years of age. The assessment of the nutritional status of the workers was carried out using the Body Mass Index and Percentage of Body Fat. The associated factors were determined by physical activity, tobacco consumption, time spent performing physical activity, consumption of alcoholic beverages, consumption of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and fat consumption. The study revealed that 72% of workers have a weight within normal ranges, 19% have a Body Mass Index > 25 kg/m2. Furthermore, we have that 72.2% of workers have an inadequate level of body fat. 41% of workers do not perform physical activity or are sedentary and a similar percentage performs physical activity of 30 to 60 minutes a day. 53% of workers consume alcoholic beverages, 92% do not consume fruits and vegetables, 78% do not consume dairy products and 92% of workers consume fats. There is a significant relationship between Body Mass Index and body fat percentage. Having inadequate body fat showed a significant association with body mass index. Thus, 100% of the population with BMI > 25 kg/m2 and 87.5% of workers with a Body Mass Index within normal ranges have an inadequate body fat percentage. Other variables such as physical activity, tobacco consumption, alcohol, fruits, vegetables, dairy products and fats did not have a significant association.Ítem Acceso abierto Personal and institutional factors and their relationship with the quality of care of the nurse in the sterilization center of the Regional Hospital of Moquegua, Moquegua, Lima-2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-27) Mamanchura Flores, Nely Eliana; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoObjective: To analyze the relationship between personal and institutional factors and the quality of care provided by the nurse in the Sterilization Center of the Regional Hospital of Moquegua, 2021. Material and Method: This research has a quantitative approach, as it uses data collection to test the hypothesis supported by statistical analysis and the analysis of the described qualities or attributes to determine the results of behavior models in a population. When we refer to quantitative research, we imply the statistical field, which is the foundation of this approach, analyzing an objective reality through numerical measurements and statistical analysis to determine predictions or behavior patterns of the phenomenon or problem under study.
