Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of early stimulation in improving motor and cognitive skills in children at risk for neurodevelopmental issues.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-03) Soto Cajamarca, Emilia; Valdivia Melendez, Clelia Julia; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective.- To analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of early stimulation and intervention in children at risk for motor and cognitive neurodevelopment. Materials and Methods.- Observational, prospective systematic review of the literature, with searches conducted in full-text articles. Ten articles were selected, corresponding to the period from 2013 to 2017; among the included articles were randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and cohort studies, focusing on children born prematurely or at risk for neurodevelopmental issues. Results.- Of the ten studies investigated, it was found that preventing disability, impairment, and risks in the child's psychomotor development can be achieved through early stimulation and/or intervention and sensory stimuli, involving parents to confirm their effectiveness, with the participation of the appropriate professional. Conclusions.- There is a significant effect on motor-cognitive development in children with early stimulation who are at risk for psychomotor development, however, for children without risk, stimulation is essential for optimal motor-cognitive development.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of early stimulation in improving motor and cognitive skills in children at risk for neurodevelopmental issues.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-03) Soto Cajamarca, Emilia; Valdivia Melendez, Clelia Julia; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective.- To analyze the evidence on the effectiveness of early stimulation and intervention in children at risk for motor and cognitive neurodevelopment. Through this process, the baby develops greater control over their emotions, which strengthens their sense of security and their ability to take initiative. Therefore, it is important for mothers to acquire knowledge about this topic and develop positive attitudes that allow them to practice stimulation in their children after birth. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitude of mothers regarding early stimulation in neonates at a hospital in Chincha. Methods: basic, non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational study; which will have a sample of 60 mothers of rooming-in neonates; data will be collected through two validated questionnaires that have acceptable reliability. The collected data will be transferred to Excel 2019 for calculation and then coded in SPSS v25 for processing and analysis, which will be presented through descriptive statistics including academic tables with their respective absolute and percentage frequencies. Spearman's correlation will be used to verify the relationship between the variables studied, given that it is a small sample and it is likely that neither of the two variables studied will have a normal distribution. The p-value will also be reported, considering a value less than 0.05 to reject the null hypothesis.Ítem Acceso abierto Mothers' level of knowledge about early stimulation and practices for psychomotor development in children under 12 months of age who attend a hospital in Oxapampa 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-10) Tacuri Coronado, Katherin Estéfanie; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaGeneral objective: To determine how the mothers' level of knowledge about early stimulation is related to psychomotor development in children under twelve months of age in a hospital in Oxapampa, Peru in 2023.Methodology: The research will be quantitative, the method that will be used in this research is the hypothetical deductive, non-experimental type, correlational level and cross-sectional type. The population, will work with 80 mothers with their 12-month-old children, who come to the Health Center in Oxapampa, Peru. Two instruments will be used, a knowledge questionnaire on the early stimulation of mothers and the second instrument is an observation guide on early stimulation practices in their children from 0 to 12 months. Both instruments were subjected to a validity test by an expert judge, with 8 experts. What. An item test was performed using the point biserial coefficient (PBC) obtaining an r=0.58 which is valid because it is greater than 0.2, (43), for the reliability of both instruments, it was evaluated through the use of the Kuder Richarson test, obtaining Kr-20 = 0.984. the results will be tabulated in an Excel spreadsheet, using the formula to have the correct result for statistical treatment with the SPS, tables and/or graphs are elaborated, processed for analysis using inferential non-parametric statistics.
