Adherence factors involved in the treatment of cancer patients
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Saravia Reyes, Mabel Magaly; Vilca Huallanca, María Esperanza; Gamarra Bustillos, Carlos
Objective: Determine the adherence factors that intervene in the treatment of cancer patients. Methodology: It is a systematic review in different Medline databases - Pubmed, Lilacs, Scielo and Science direct, following the PICO format, the inclusion criteria were: scientific articles published between 2006 and 2016 in Spanish and English, with selection final of 12 articles. Results: Of the 12 articles reviewed, 100% (12/12 articles) that intervened were the sociocultural factor, which had 59% (7/12), while the factor of adverse effects to treatment had 50% (6/12) and the economic factor has 17% (2/12). The quality of the articles was mostly moderate at 75% (9/12). In the most searched articles it was in the country of Nigeria (3/12) with 25.6%, in which the dimension that most intervened for non-adherence to treatment was the economic factor. Conclusions: The associated adherence factor was, according to this review, multifactorial and involves sociocultural factors, adverse effects of treatment, and economic factors. Strategies and alternatives must be generated to develop early interventions that allow for better therapeutic adherence in cancer patients.

Effectiveness of music therapy for pain management in patients undergoing surgery
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-08) Guzmán Moreno, Sisy Cecilia
Material and methods: The PICO instrument was applied and a systematic bibliographic search was carried out through recognized search engines such as LILACS, PubMED, ELSEIVER, etc. Classifying the information through the use of Caspe templates and the level of evidence and degree of recommendation by the GRADE system. Results: 100% of the articles show evidence of the positive influence that music exerts in the different stages of the perioperative period, showing not only the significant decrease in pain but also the decrease in the level of anxiety, 2 articles found showed patients with functional stable vital signs, decreased administration of analgesics and anesthetics, even when the patient is under general anesthesia. Conclusions: Music can be used and implemented as a simple, safe and effective method of reducing potentially harmful physiological responses caused by pain in patients during the perioperative period.

Effectiveness of the use of polyethylene bags for the prevention of hypothermia in premature and low birth weight newborns
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Hernández Julca, Bertha Gladys; Pérez Franco, Sandra Jesús; Remuzgo Artezano, Anika
Objective: Determine the effectiveness of the use of polyethylene bags for the prevention of hypothermia in premature and low birth weight newborns. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to a critical reading, together with the intensive bibliographic search algorithm and the PICO strategy. Results: 10 articles were obtained as a population, of which 100% (10/10) demonstrated that the use of the polyethylene bag to prevent hypothermia in premature and low birth weight newborns is effective; We also point out that of these, 20% correspond to the United States as well as those from Mexico, while 10% are from Uruguay, Canada, Thailand, Zambia, Brazil and England respectively. Therefore, it is concluded to consider the use of polyethylene bags as an additional effective and safe intervention to prevent hypothermia in premature and low birth weight newborns. Conclusions: 100% (10/10) of scientific articles have shown that the use of polyethylene bags is effective in interrupting heat loss through convection, conduction and evaporation mechanisms. Likewise, by preventing hypothermia we not only find stable oxygen saturation but also other vital functions and consequently the most serious complication such as neurological damage is avoided.
