Ítem Acceso abierto Effect of respiratory physiotherapy on weakness acquired in the ICU of a hospital in Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-22) Calcina Díaz, Olga Benita; Diaz Mau, Aimee YajairaThe ICU-Acquired Weakness (ICUAW) affects the quality of life of patients at multiple levels, so its treatment should be provided through a multidisciplinary team, including the respiratory physiotherapy team. However, despite studies recommending the involvement of a multidisciplinary team for the management of ICUAW patients in the ICU and the application of rehabilitation, only early mobilization is addressed. Therefore, the importance of conducting the study "Effects of respiratory physiotherapy on ICU-acquired weakness" has been determined. This research is justified by the results obtained, which will demonstrate the effects of respiratory physiotherapy treatment, allowing the implementation of an intervention program in all intensive care units to prevent severe irreversible consequences for the studied population. All of this can be carried out with an accessible and low-cost tool such as the MRC scale for the ICU.Ítem Acceso abierto Neurorehabilitation physiotherapy in functional activities in patients with post covid19 polyneuropathy. In a primary care center in huancayo, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-13) Canchaya Ore, Judy Janeth; Melgarejo Valverde, Jose AntonioPost-COVID-19 polyneuropathy is characterized by direct injury to peripheral nerves and muscles, leading to muscle loss. The syndrome of immobility due to prolonged mechanical ventilation causes muscle weakness, critical illness, myopathies, and neuromuscular diseases. These polyneuropathies may lead to patients becoming dependent on caregivers for activities of daily living such as dressing, transferring, using the toilet, continence, and bathing. These functional activities will be treated and restored through a neurorehabilitation program, which will help the patient regain functional independence and reintegrate into basic and functional activities, as well as socio-family activities, promoting greater independence.
