This was a descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, and prospective study. The sample consisted of 98 dentists of both genders from the district of San Martín de Porres, selected according to inclusion criteria using simple random sampling. The instrument used was a survey with 11 questions, validated through expert judgment, considering the Code of Ethics and Deontology (Questions 1 and 5), the Dentist's Work Law (Questions 2, 3, and 4), the Ministry of Health's Technical Health Standard No. 113 (Modified) (Questions 6, 7, 8, and 9), and the National Superintendency of Health's Regulations on Infractions and Sanctions (Questions 10 and 11). The survey included five alternatives for each question, rated as good, regular, or bad, and was completed voluntarily in person by the investigator. Results: The level of knowledge about the duties and obligations governing dental practice in the district of San Martín de Porres, Lima-Peru, 2017 was considered regular by 59%, with 69% of respondents aged between 30 and 50 years, and 69% with a regular professional practice. Conclusion: Dentists in the district of San Martín de Porres have a regular level of knowledge regarding the duties and obligations that govern dental practice in the country.Ítem Acceso abierto Dependence of the degree of severity of musculoskeletal disorders with the ergonomic factor during dental practice in the Ventanilla district - 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-20) Esquivel Cuneo, Daniel Alejandro; Girano Castaños, Jorge AlbertoDue to daily work, difficulties arise in the musculoskeletal system that affect health within the workplace, especially in the dental field, as the dentist must use ergonomic factors to perform their work correctly. The aim of this study was to establish the dependence between the severity of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomic factors in dental practice in the Ventanilla district, 2021. In this quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study, a simple random probabilistic sample of 120 licensed and registered dentists was selected, using a questionnaire with virtual questions through an online form. The results indicate that 7 dentists experience severe discomfort (>4 hours) while sitting in the ergonomic chair. It was determined that, among the sociodemographic characteristics of age, weight, sex, and height, 42.5% (51) were female, and 57.5% (69) were male, with ages ranging from 24 to 51 years and older. It was concluded that multiple ergonomic factors contribute to these injuries in the professional field, and a correlation between the injuries was found.Ítem Acceso abierto Perception of personal risk to covid 19 in graduates of the Norbert Private University School of Dentistry Vienna, year 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-20) Mendoza Córdova, Zenaida Olga; Vilchez Bellido, DinaObjective: To assess the perception of personal risk of COVID-19 among graduates of the Dentistry School and its relationship with the work area. This study was descriptive, observational, and cross-sectional, where a search was conducted on YouTube using relevant keywords, resulting in a total of 1,010 videos. These videos underwent an initial filter where those with the following characteristics were excluded: English language (n=17), duplicates (n=15), irrelevant content (n=31), and videos exceeding 20 minutes or conference videos (n=4). In the second filter, the modified DISCERN instrument was used to assess the information quality of the videos. The videos were classified as containing quality information according to the global scale, then scored to determine whether quality information existed, using the Likert-type Global Quality Scale. Of the 36 videos analyzed, 33 had incomplete information, with 5 (13.8%) being of poor quality, 28 (77.7%) being of very poor quality, and only 3 (8.3%) having complete information that met all 5 criteria of the global scale, representing videos with good quality information.
