Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-06) Aquino Fernandez, Anderson Felix; Tamayo Toro, Mónica AlexandraObjective: To identify the relationship between Burnout Syndrome (BOS) and associated factors in the laboratory staff at SYNLAB Central Headquarters during the COVID-19 pandemic in Lima, 2022. Materials and methods: A data collection form was used to gather information on biological, personal, work-related, and economic factors, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory - HSS was employed. Results: The found burnout level was medium (73.5%), followed by low and high levels (22.5% and 3.9%, respectively). The study population consisted of 74.5% females, with 50% in the 20-30 age group, and 66.7% expressed moderate satisfaction with their salary. A Spearman Rho of 0.875 with a p-value ≥0.05 indicated no correlation between the associated factors and BOS; however, a statistically significant relationship was found between BOS, age, and satisfaction with remuneration (p-values of 0.00 and 0.042, respectively). Conclusion: No correlation was found between associated factors and burnout syndrome, but there was a statistically significant relationship between BOS, age, and satisfaction with salary.Ítem Acceso abierto C-Reactive Protein and Its Relationship with Risk Factors Associated with Metabolic Syndrome in Maintenance Workers Assisted for an Occupational Health Evaluation in 2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-11-10) Vásquez Mosanapón, Juana Iris; Benites Azabache, Juan CarlosObjective: To establish the relationship between C-reactive protein (CRP) levels and risk factors associated with metabolic syndrome in maintenance workers undergoing Occupational Health assessments in 2016. The study type was quantitative, prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive. Maintenance workers who underwent annual health checks at an occupational health laboratory in 2016 were tested for glucose, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and measurements of waist circumference and blood pressure. These results were compared with CRP levels. Regarding the Spearman correlations between CRP and factors associated with metabolic syndrome, a correlation coefficient of 0.190 was observed with a significance of 0.086, indicating no significant relationship with CRP. However, a significant relationship was found between glucose and CRP in this population, with a correlation coefficient of 0.291 and a significance of 0.008. Among the metabolic syndrome factors compared with CRP, glucose was found to have a significant relationship with a correlation coefficient of 0.291 and significance of 0.008.Ítem Acceso abierto Complications in patients with hemodialysis treatment in a hospital in Callao January - September 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-10-31) Llanque Fraquita, Jonathan Manuel; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: "To determine the types of complications presented in patients undergoing hemodialysis treatments at the Callao Hospital from January to September 2021." The Chi-square test will be applied, with p< 0.05 considered statistically significant.Ítem Acceso abierto Factors associated with abandonment of contraceptives hormones in puerpera between 2017 – 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-11) Armacanqui Candela, Janeth Margarita; Arone Palomino, Susana FilomenaThe research aimed to identify the factors associated with the discontinuation of hormonal contraceptives in postpartum women between 2017 and 2022. The methodology developed was a qualitative, narrative systematic review. It was conducted through a collection of scientific publications from databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, PubMed, Redalyc, and Elsevier. A total of 30 publications were selected as scientific evidence, where the associated factors (sociodemographic, clinical, gynecological-obstetric, and institutional) were the independent variable, and the discontinuation of hormonal contraceptives was the dependent variable. According to the 30 reviewed scientific publications, the factors associated with contraceptive discontinuation in postpartum women were: sociodemographic factors (36.6%), such as partner pressure, desire for pregnancy, and low education level; clinical factors (30%), such as bleeding, headaches, and weight gain; gynecological-obstetric factors (23.4%), such as primiparity and lack of counseling; and institutional factors (10%), such as dissatisfaction with the service and poor knowledge level among postpartum women. If virtually all children were breastfed, about 820,000 children's lives would be saved each year. Breastfeeding is one of the most effective forms of Ensuring a favorable state and survival of children, it prevents malnutrition and can save the lives of nearly a million children. It is important to feed the child only with breast milk during the first hour after birth and exclusively during the first 6 months. (1) It has been shown that breast milk has a protective effect against infections and gastrointestinal, respiratory diseases, allergies and non-communicable diseases, reduces infant mortality and increases neurodevelopment. (3) It can be seen that 49.7% of newborns breastfeed in the first hour of birth; observing a difference between the urban area (43.4%) and rural areas (68.7%); on the other hand, 44.8% did start breastfeeding during the first day(10); In studies carried out internationally we can find that in Spain, 88.89% of mothers who claimed to have offered only breast milk being the (53.1%) during the first month of life and 56.9% stated that they had to abandon it due to the discharge of the mother's breast for the child; 59.72% responded that their babies were not placed on the breast immediately at birth and 58.33% did not manage to breastfeed their baby in the first hour after birth(18), in Ecuador a month later it was 21.7%; stating that the shortage of milk(19) Likewise, at the national level it is found as an outstanding cause of abandonment of breastfeeding and the beginning of mixed breastfeeding in children under 6 months is the academic not superior to this, I highlight that 28.6% did not have a report on BF after childbirth (22) followed by 21.4% who did not have BF guidance before childbirth(23), these, like many other factors, make us still not achieve high rates of exclusive breastfeeding not only in our country but also globally.
