Publicación Acceso abierto Relación de los prejuicios y desempeño laboral de enfermeras del hospital nacional Dos de Mayo, Lima - Perú, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-23) Higueras Pasquel, Flor Mariluz; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaObjective: To determine the relationship between prejudices and job performance of nurses at the National Hospital 2 de Mayo, 2023, Lima-Peru. Methodology and Design: Hypothetical deductive. Design: Quantitative cross-sectional because it will be done only once and it is nonexperimental because it does not deliberately manipulate variables. To collect data, the "Petegreens-Marteens Subtle Prejudice Scale" and the "Work Performance Scale of the University of Chihuahua" applied to a group of nurses, measured on the Likert Scale, were used. Validity: The Pettigrew and Meertens proposition prejudice typology was constructed, which shows that the instruments are valid. Reliability: For the guaranteed specificity of the instruments, Cronbach's alpha equal to 0.72 was calculated. Population and Sample: After defining the unit of analysis for convenience, the sample was equal to 80 according to the guide. Research type: Descriptive. Results: An inverse relationship was observed between variable one and job performance. Corroborated with a high correlation of 80.6% (rho=-0.806), where a significance value (p-value=0.000) less than 0.05 was obtained. Conclusion: This study concluded by determining that prejudices influence the job performance of nurses at the hospital in question. Of the 91.25% (73) of the surveyed nursing professionals who presented some type of prejudice, in turn, they reflected poor job performance.
