Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the preoperative nursing visit to reduce anxiety in surgical patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-07-26) Arcela Marcelo, Karla Beatriz; Espiritu Soto, Sharon Liseth; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MariaThe type of study is quantitative, the design is a systematic review. The articles for the preparation of this work were obtained from the following databases; Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest and Google scholar. Of the 10 national and international research articles, 50% are clinical trials, 20% of each are systematic reviews and quasi-experimental and 10% experimental. According to the quality of the evidence, it was found to be high at 90% and medium at 10% and according to the strength of the recommendation it is 100% strong. Depending on the country where the investigations were carried out, 80% correspond to Spain and 10% each to Mexico and Brazil. Results: According to the review of the articles, it is evident that 80% indicate that the preoperative nursing visit is effective in reducing anxiety in patients undergoing surgery and 20% indicate that it is not effective. Conclusions: It is concluded that 8 of 10 scientific articles demonstrate that the preoperative nursing visit is effective in reducing anxiety in patients undergoing surgery and 2 of 10 demonstrate that it is not effective.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of information on surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety of the pre-surgical patient in the clinic novo q, lima 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-29) Molero Vizcarra, Adriana Almendra; Fuentes Siles, María AngélicaObjective: To determine the relationship between the level of information about the surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021. Methodology: The applied methodology was inductive, performing an analysis of the information gathered, with a quantitative approach. The research was basic, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational. The population was considered finite, consisting of 250 individuals, and the sample was also 250 people, obtained through the application of a questionnaire. Non-probabilistic sampling was used, based on the researcher's discretion, casual or accidental. Results: The p-value obtained was .000, indicating that the significance (sig.) is less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This means that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention correlates with a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021. Furthermore, the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient showed a result of .232, indicating a low positive relationship between the variables. This means that as one variable increases, the other increases, but to a lesser degree. Conclusion: It was concluded that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention leads to a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021.
