Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions to reduce pruritus in patients with chronic kidney disease(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-13) Peña Huari, Corina Irene; Via Antunez, Virginia Veronica; Uturunco Vera, Milagros LizbethTo systematically analyze the available evidence from studies carried out on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions to reduce pruritus in patients with chronic kidney disease. MATERIAL AND METHOD: An observational, methodical analysis, which were selected through the Grade evaluation to determine their strength and quality of evidence, found in: Epistemonikos, Lilacs, Pubmed. Of the 10 articles analyzed structurally, 80% (n=8/10) correspond to the methodological design of systematic review and randomized controlled trial and 20% (n=2/10) are case-control studies. The base of results found from these studies are from the countries of SINGAPORE (10%), China (10%), IRAN (40%), Taiwan (10%), Indonesia (10%), South Korea ( 10%) and Egypt (10%). RESULTS: 80% (8/10) evidence the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions to reduce pruritus in patients with chronic kidney disease. CONCLUSIONS: Non-pharmacological interventions are effective for the treatment of pruritus in patients with chronic kidney disease.
