Conclusión: Se concluye que todos los factores planteados estuvieron asociados al desarrollo de enfermedad renal crónica siendo los más estrechamente asociados la enfermedad cardiovascular y el sexo masculino.Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice of prevention measures for pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation of the nurse in the intensive care unit of the health establishment Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-05) Reyes Aguirre, Nancy Roxana; Molina Torres, Jose GregorioPneumonia is a disease that attacks the respiratory system, if it is not detected in time, it can be a serious disease that can be fatal, especially in the elderly and among the immunocompromised. With regard to pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation [NAVM (NAV)], it is included within infections associated with health care (IAAS) or also called "nosocomial or hospital" infections. Therefore, the preventive measures taken by health personnel are of great importance to preserve the health of patients. Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and practice on measures for prevention of pneumonia associated to mechanical ventilation of professionals of nursing of the Intensive Care Unit of the health facility Lima, 2022. Methods: quantitative, applied, descriptive, correlational, non-experimental-transversal. The population will be made up of 80 nurses who work in the Intensive Care Unit. The data collection instruments to use will be the Knowledge questionnaire on preventive measures for pneumonia associated to mechanical ventilation and the list of collation for observation of nursing explosion practices in disease prevention. The data will be tabulated in Excel to be subsequently analyzed in the SPSS v 26 software where the descriptive and inferential analysis will be carried out to verify the research hypotheses, using the statistical test of the Pearson and Spearman contribution coefficient.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and nursing practices on the prevention of pressure injuries in older adults of the medical service of the Hospital Leonardo Barton del Callao, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-02-26) Castello Sarria, Gisella Del Pilar; Molina Torres, Jose GregorioThe work carried out by nursing professionals is extremely relevant within hospital settings, especially when it refers to the care of vulnerable patients such as the elderly. This situation becomes much more necessary in the case of those who are hospitalized for long periods of time, since they are exposed to various problems such as pressure ulcers. However, it has been possible to detect that the nurses of a hospital in Callao do not have sufficient knowledge and prevention practices to prevent its incidence in the elderly. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing practices on the prevention of pressure ulcers in older adults at a hospital in Callao, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: quantitative, basic, cross-sectionalnon-experimental, descriptive and correlational research. The sample will be 80 nurses; To measure the two variables, a questionnaire and an observation sheet will be used to measure nursing knowledge and practices on pressure pressure injuries respectively, both instruments were developed in 2021. The data that is collected will be emptied into a table prepared in Excel 2021 and from there it will be transferred to SPSS vs. 27, in order to carry out the descriptive statistics, which will be presented in tables and figures, and the inferential statistics that will allow the testing of hypotheses to determine if there is a relationship between variables, for this the non-parametric test of Spearman's Rho will be applied.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge and practice of the nursing professional on the prevention of pressure ulcers in the ICU of the Hospital Almenara Irigoyen‐Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-30) Justo Cabillas, Jessica Giovanna; Morillo Acasio, Berlina del RosarioIn hospital settings, the work performed by nursing staff is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to the care of frail patients such as the elderly. Since patients hospitalized for long periods of time are more prone to suffer from numerous problems, such as pressure ulcers, this scenario becomes much more critical. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between nursing knowledge and practices on pressure ulcer prevention in the ICU of Hospital Almenara Irigoyen, Lima 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: quantitative, basic, cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational research. The sample will be 80 nurses; to measure the two variables a questionnaire and an observation sheet will be used to measure nursing knowledge and practices on pressure ulcer prevention respectively, both instruments were developed by Mas in 2019. A quantitative method will be used, the data collected by the devices will be expanded and subjected to the appropriate statistical analysis, which may be performed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), version 24. Making tables and graphs for the collection of information.
