Lifestyles and their relationship with health condition in the nursing staff of the Antonio Skrabonja Antoncich-Essalud hospital, Pisco-Ica, 2019
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-23) Muñante Pisconte, Mery Luz; Fernández Rengifo, Werther Fernando
The general objective was to establish the relationship of lifestyles with the health condition in the nursing staff of the Antonio Skrabonja Antoncich Essalud Hospital, Pisco-Ica, 2019. Material and methods: The present study was quantitative, non-experimental, based in the statistical analysis, according to the definition of Hernández Sampieri (15). Numerical quantities and percentages were used to analyze and interpret the information to be obtained. Likewise, the study was cross-sectional correlational because the correlation of the two variables to be treated was established and carried out in a specific time and space. Results: Table 1 shows that an “unhealthy” lifestyle predominates with an average of 43.7 and a percentage distribution of 57.5%. Likewise, “good” health condition obtained 52 average absolute frequencies, which corresponds to a 68.4% average relative frequency. In Table 2, the relationship of lifestyle with health condition was calculated, noting that the correlation of “healthy” lifestyle and “good” health condition has a non-significant value of 0.365. Therefore, the Pearson correlation of “healthy” lifestyle with “good” health condition of 0.365 indicates that the variables have a weak, non-significant positive relationship. The significance (two-sided) or P value is equal to 0.477 and the alpha (α) value is 0.05; It is true that P > α, therefore, it is valid to infer that there is a high probability of not rejecting the null hypothesis. Therefore, it is inferred that there is a 36% probability that the health condition is “good”; only if the lifestyle is “healthy” in the nursing staff of the Antonio Skrabonja Antoncich Essalud Hospital, Pisco-Ica, 2019. Conclusions: The Pearson correlation of HEALTHY lifestyle and GOOD health condition is equal to 36%. which indicates that the variables have a weak, non-significant positive correlation.

Personal and institutional factors that influence sharps accidents in the nursing staff of the surgical center of the María Auxiliadora hospital - 2020
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-11-27) López Dávila, Sandra Yuvitza; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette Giselle
In the health field, there are accidents with sharp or sharp objects that may be contaminated by fluids or blood, which can lead to an increased probability that the healthcare worker will become ill or die as a result of a transmitted pathogen. Likewise, studies carried out by the WHO in the 2017 annual occupational health report show results that on average 385,000 injuries are caused by sharp or cutting instruments and that nursing staff are the most exposed to this type of accidents between 9 to 11 %. that are closely related to different personal and institutional factors. The present study was carried out on the staff of the Surgical Center of the María Auxiliadora Hospital in order to determine the personal factors and institutional factors that influence sharps accidents in nurses of the surgical center of the hospital mentioned above and thus provide recommendations and/or respective suggestions for improving the intervention processes for sharp accidents that occur in the surgical room.
