Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout syndrome and professional skills in the nursing staff of the growth and development service of the San Juan de Lurigancho hospital, Lima 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-05) Ccoyllo Jacinto, Mirella; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To establish the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and professional competencies in the nursing staff of the Growth and Development Service at San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima 2021. Methodology: The study will be quantitative, applied, and non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational in design. For this research, the entire population will be considered, consisting of 40 nurses from the Growth and Development Service at San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, Lima. Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: A questionnaire to measure work stress (Maslach, 1981) and a questionnaire to measure professional competence (2018) will be used. The reliability of the Burnout Syndrome instrument is highly reliable, with a score of 0.894. The professional competencies instrument also demonstrates high reliability, with a score of 0.929. Procedures: The research will process the data through quantitative data analysis, with frequencies and percentages for the variables and dimensions. A hypothesis test will also be performed using the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test to measure the degree or strength of the relationship between the variables. Statistical Analysis: The study will process the data by identifying quantitative data, frequencies, and percentages for the variables and dimensions. The hypothesis will be tested using the non-parametric Spearman's Rho test.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of an educational program for the development of competencies in disaster situations in nursing professionals(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-03-08) Llacma Rafaele, Abigail; Reyes Pariona, Marino; Basurto Santillán, Ivan JavierObjective: Systematize the evidence found on the effectiveness of an educational program for the development of competencies in disaster situations in nursing professionals. Material and Methods: the design used for the purposes of this study was the systematic review, based on the GRADE evaluation system that allowed evaluating the quality of the evidence of the articles selected from the following databases: PubMed, ScientDirect, EBSCO and Epistemonikos. Results: The reviewed articles showed that 40% are systematic reviews, 40% are randomized clinical trials, 10% are quasi-experimental design and 10% correspond to the pre-posttest quasi-experimental design. On the other hand, in 90% of the articles evidence was found of the effectiveness of an educational program for the development of competencies of nursing professionals in disaster situations, while 10% did not find evidence regarding the effectiveness of a educational program for the development of competencies in disaster situations in nursing professionals. Conclusion: Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed in (9/10) it was found that there is effectiveness of an educational program for the development of competencies in disaster situations in nursing professionals and in (1/10) no effectiveness of a educational program for the development of competencies in disaster situations in nursing professionals.Ítem Acceso abierto Evaluation of nursing competencies in nursing graduates from a Private University of Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-09-18) Quispe Peña, Doris Maribel; Palomino Taquire, RewardsObjective: To evaluate the nursing competencies of graduates from a private university in Lima. Materials and Methods: The type of study was basic and descriptive, including a total of 63 graduates from the Professional Academic School of Nursing from the 2019-II cohort. The sampling technique was non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The instrument used to assess competency was the EcoEnf scale, which consists of 72 items, with multiple-choice options and a Likert scale. Results: The competencies developed by the 2019-II nursing graduates were inadequately developed in 39.7%. Regarding the diagnostic assessment dimension, "Sometimes" predominated in 36.5% of the nursing graduates. In the planning dimension, the value of "Almost Always" was obtained in 33.3%. In nursing intervention, "Always" was reported in 42.9%. The evaluation and quality dimension showed 28.6% for both "Almost Always" and "Sometimes". In the management dimension, "Almost Always" was reported in 44.4%. In the communication and interpersonal relationships dimension, "Sometimes" was reported by 25.4% of participants. In the attitudes, values, and transfer dimension, "Almost Always" and "Always" were reported in 25.4% of cases for both. Conclusions: It is concluded that the overall competency level among the nursing graduates of the 2019-II cohort was mostly inadequate, followed by an adequate level.Ítem Acceso abierto Nursing professional competencies in cardiopulmonar y resuscitation management in a private clinic in Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-02) Melo Trujillo, César Manuel; Palomino Taquire, RewardsIntroduction: Cardiovascular diseases are considered a public health problem worldwide, consequently, people with these diseases have a greater expectation of suffering a sudden cardiorespiratory arrest (CPA). Likewise, PCR events at the out-of-hospital level fluctuate between 20-140 cases per 100,000 people worldwide, with a survival incidence of 2-11%. While at the hospital level it is of great concern, since between 0.4 and 2.0% of hospitalized patients require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In this way, the repercussion in the decision-making of the nursing professional is referred to the aptitude and attitude of being able to exercise a leadership position within the health team, for which it measures their professional competences and the management of the CPR is of vital importance to achieve patient survival, decrease morbidity and mortality rates, and increase post-cardiac arrest recovery. Objective: To determine the relationship between professional nursing skills in the management of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a private clinic in Lima, 2023. Methods: The study will be descriptive and applied, with a cross-sectional correlational design. Population and sample: The sample will be taken intentionally from a census sample of 80 nursing professionals who work at the San Juan de Dios Clinic.Publicación Acceso abierto Valoración de la prescripción de antibióticos y percepción de riesgo quirúrgico en cirugía de terceras molares en estudiantes de odontología de la universidad Norbert Wiener, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-09-15) Vásquez Matos, Stephanie Soledad; Gómez Carrión, Christian EstebanEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación de la valoración de la prescripción de antibiótico y percepción de riesgo quirúrgico en cirugías de terceras molares en estudiantes de Odontología de la universidad Norbert Wiener, 2024. Se delineó una tesis cuantitativo, básica, de diseño no experimental, transversal con alcance relacional; se evaluó a 184 estudiantes de odontología, utilizando dos cuestionarios una para la valoración de la prescripción antibiótica y otra para la percepción de riesgo quirúrgico, donde se registró los datos como edad y sexo así como 15 preguntas en el primer cuestionario y 12 preguntas en el segundo cuestionario; la significancia estadística de la correlación se realizó mediante la prueba no paramétrica Rho de Spearman. Se evidenció que en relación a la prescripción de antibióticos y percepción de riesgo quirúrgicos en cirugías de terceras molares la mayoría presentaron nivel medio en el 42.4%, al correlacionar las competencias cognitivas con las actitudes se evidenció que existe asociación significancia (p<0,05) y el coeficiente de correlación fue de (0,905) evidenciando una correlación positiva fuerte, concluyendo que la relación de valoración de la prescripción de antibióticos es significativa con la percepción de riesgo quirúrgico en cirugías de terceras molares en estudiantes de odontología, 2024.
