Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the basic life support training program for nursing staff in reducing mortality and complications in critically ill patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-08-26) Galvez Ayala, Melissa Rosario; Fretel Celaya, Victoria Beatriz; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: To systematize the evidence on the basic life support training program for nursing staff in reducing mortality and complications in critically ill patients. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, which synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. The search was restricted to full-text articles, and the selected articles were critically analyzed using the GRADE system to assign the strength of recommendations. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen. We found that 40% (04/10) correspond to a prospective randomized trial from the USA, Egypt, Spain, and Malaysia; 30% (03/10) are quasi-experimental articles from Botswana, Thailand, and Brazil; 10% (01/10) is a descriptive cross-sectional article from Saudi Arabia; 10% (01/10) is a prospective article from India; and 10% (01/10) is an experimental article from Iran. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (n=10/10) showed that the basic life support training program for nursing staff is essential for the survival of critically ill patients. Therefore, any course regarding basic life support should not only focus on literature but should be based on practice through various instructor strategies. This basic life support training should be periodic across different levels of care to ensure that healthcare personnel are properly prepared to act in cases of cardiorespiratory arrest.Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of the educational program: ergonomic intervention to reduce musculoskeletal problems in workers in the industrial sector.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-24) Tejada Santisteban, Gladys Milagros; Leyva Evaristo, Maritza Gladys; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaObjective: To systematize the evidence on educational programs: ergonomic intervention to reduce musculoskeletal problems in industrial workers. Material and Methods: The type of study is quantitative, the design of a systematic review, were obtained from the databases Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest, Tripdatabase, Cochrane. Of the 10 articles reviewed according to the research designs 50% (n = 5/10) are quasi-experimental, 40% (n = 4/10) are systematic reviews and the other 10% (n = 1/10) are pre-experimental. According to the quality of the evidence was found to be high at 100% and the strength of recommendation was strong at 100%, according to the country where the research was carried out, they concern Spain 50%, Chile, London, Brazil, Canada and the USA 10% each. Results: In this review it is evident that 80% (8/10) point out the effectiveness of the ergonomic educational program in reducing musculoskeletal injuries in workers in the industrial sector, so they recommend that active breaks should be applied in the workplace to preserve the health of the worker and 20% (2/10) do not show the effectiveness, likewise they suggest carrying out this type of study with more time for its application and achieve high results. Conclusion: 8 of 10 reviewed and analyzed evidences show the effectiveness of educational programs in occupational ergonomics and 2 of 10 of the investigations deny the effectiveness, because they found no benefits of the educational programs.
