Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a healthy eating program to reduce calorie, total fat, and carbohydrate intake in children under 15 years old(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-04-07) Palomino Reynaga, Maribel Eufemia; Matta Solis, Hernán HugoObjective: The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of a healthy eating program to reduce the consumption of kilocalories, total fats and carbohydrates in girls and boys under 15 years of age. Materials and Methods: The design used was a systematic review. They represent a fundamental contribution to evidence-based nursing, allowing answers to questions that arise in daily practice, which is why articles with high quality of evidence are selected. Results: The results obtained from the systematic review in this research, finding 80% favorable and significant results, evidenced by the decrease in anthropometric measurements, increase in fruit consumption and improvement in eating habits. 20% of the studies reviewed did not find a significant impact on the prevention of overweight and obesity. Conclusions: 8 out of 10 evidence indicates that a healthy eating program reduces carbohydrate consumption, fat kilocalories, decreases anthropometric measurements, increases fruit consumption and improves eating habits. On the other hand, 2 out of 10 evidence did not find a significant impact on the prevention of overweight and obesity.
