Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice of self-care of arteriovenous fistula in patients in the hemodialysis area of a hospital in Lima – 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-11) Verastegui Azalde, Adriana Irene; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioRenal failure (RI) is considered a progressive decrease in glomerular filtration. The acute phase begins suddenly and can be changeable, while the severe phase evolves rapidly over a period of 3 months and can lead to permanent kidney failure. Excessive intake of protein, phosphorus, nephrotoxic drugs, proteinuria, hyperlipidemia, are the agents for developing the disease, etc., this end-stage renal failure requires hemodialysis or hemodialysis technology as the only cure. Transplant. In the bibliographic review, the objective was defined to determine the level of knowledge and self-care practice of patients on hemodialysis for stage 5 chronic kidney disease, including self-care through continuous instruction. The present work is descriptive and the articles mentioned in the research They are indexed by scientific journals.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge, attitudes and practices of laboratory personnel in the determination of proteinuria with sulfosalicylic acid in pregnant women from primary care establishments, Puente Piedra 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-22) Cuadros Rojas, Karen; Ascarza Gallegos, Justo AngeloThe determination of protein in urine is one of the main diagnostic tools in laboratory routines. Ensuring the results requires quality assurance, knowledge, and practical application of the methods. This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices of laboratory staff in the determination of proteinuria using sulfosalicylic acid in pregnant women. A quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental study was designed. Data were collected through a survey with prior informed consent. The results indicated a high level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices among laboratory personnel in determining proteinuria with sulfosalicylic acid in pregnant women.Ítem Acceso abierto Proteinuria by the method of sulfosalicylic acid and its relationship with glomerular filtration calculated by several formulas in pregnant women at a Maternity Hospital in Lima, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-10-10) Ruiz Yarlequé, Patricia; Bazán Estrella, Kateryn Nataly; Sandoval Vegas, Miguel HernánThe objective was to determine the relationship between proteinuria by the sulfosalicylic acid method and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) calculated by several formulas in pregnant women at a maternity hospital in Lima in 2017. This is an applied, observational, retrospective, descriptive, and correlational study. A total of 244 results meeting the selection criteria were collected. Of these, 64% presented proteinuria by the sulfosalicylic acid method, 5.7% had traces, and 30.3% were negative. Using different GFR formulas, the proteinuria results were correlated, and no relationship was found between the study variables (ANOVA, p > 0.05). Therefore, this method is not a useful tool when a test is needed to accurately identify renal function in pregnant women. For a better study of this test and comparison with GFR formulas, it is recommended to conduct a study with absorbance readings of the test (ASS), which would provide a quantitative result and greatly assist in the diagnosis of renal function. Concluyendo que, la correlación fue fuerte, positiva y significativa, siendo el índice una herramienta útil y eficiente para la detección de proteinuria en gestantes.Ítem Acceso abierto Serum uric acid level and its relationship with hypertensive disease in pregnancy; Villa el Salvador Emergency Hospital- Lima 2019.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-05-11) Araoz Tuanama, Liz Giorgina; Sandoval Vegas, Miguel HernánHypertension during pregnancy is a common issue and an important public health concern, addressed on both a social level and in our research context, which explores the relationship between serum uric acid levels and hypertensive disease in pregnancy due to its national and global relevance. Objective: To determine the relationship between serum uric acid levels and hypertensive disease in pregnancy at the Villa El Salvador Emergency Hospital, Lima, 2019. Methodology: This was a descriptive, quantitative, retrospective, observational, cross-sectional, and correlational study. Results: Out of 130 cases, 58 pregnant women had no hypertensive disease induced by pregnancy (NO EHE), 12 had (EHE), 51 had hypertensive disease without proteinuria (EHE SP), and 9 had severe hypertensive disease (EHE SEVERE). Serum uric acid values ranged between 1.6-8.0, with a mean of 4.1 ± 1.3. Conclusion: It was concluded that women with EHE have higher serum uric acid levels compared to normal values, with statistically significant differences demonstrated by ANOVA (F=25.983, p=0.000) and Chi-square (Chi2=53.4, p=0.000).
