Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of a psychoeducation program to reduce relapse in patients with schizophrenia.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-02-29) Arismendi Cortez, Rosa Amalia; Espinoza Zapata, María Victoria; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioObjective: To systematize the evidence regarding the effectiveness of a psychoeducation program to reduce relapse in patients with schizophrenia. Materials and Methods: Retrospective, observational, quantitative systematic review, subjected to analytical compilation, using the Grade evaluation system to establish the level of evidence, located in the following databases: PubMed, ResearchGate, Open Access, Elsevier, and Epistemonikos. Of the 10 articles selected and systematically reviewed, 100% were of high quality as described below: 90% of high quality and 10% of moderate quality as described below: 40% (n=4/10) are systematic reviews, 50% (n=5/10) are randomized controlled trials, and 10% (n=1/10) are cohorts. According to the results obtained from the systematic review conducted in this research, the countries represented are China (40%), France (20%), England (10%), Colombia (10%), Australia (10%), and Italy (20%). Results: In this way, based on the evidence found, 100% (n=10/10) (16-25) indicate that the psychoeducation program is effective in reducing relapse in patients with schizophrenia. Conclusion: The psychoeducation program is effective in reducing relapse in patients with schizophrenia.
