Methodology: The study was analytical, inductive, and deductive at a basic level, with a quantitative, descriptive-correlational approach and a non-experimental-longitudinal design. A total of 317 prescriptions were reviewed using a documentary data collection guide approved by three pharmaceutical chemists. The guide contained 32 items with 'Yes' and 'No' alternatives. Data were initially entered into Excel 16 and then transferred to SPSS version 25 for analysis, where the Pearson's Chi-squared non-parametric test was used. Results: A relationship was found between the prescription of the most dispensed psychopharmaceuticals and the diagnosis of the most frequent psychiatric disorders. The most dispensed psychopharmaceuticals were sertraline, clonazepam, and risperidone. The most frequent psychiatric disorder was depression. The Pearson's Chi-squared non-parametric test (p-value > 0.005) supported the alternative hypothesis (HA) and rejected the null hypothesis (H0). Conclusion: A relationship was established between the most dispensed psychopharmaceuticals and the most frequent psychiatric disorders during the pandemic in hospitalized patients at the Víctor Larco Herrera Hospital from 2020 to 2021.Publicación Acceso abierto Uso de psicofármacos y calidad de vida en adultos mayores en una cadena de boticas Vida y Salud, Lima 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-06-09) Castro Conde, Sumiko Karina; Gutarra Chacon, Eva Mercedes; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoEl objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la relación entre el uso de psicofármacos y la calidad de vida en adultos mayores atendidos en una cadena de boticas.
