Caracterización química analítica del extracto vegetal hidroalcohólico de las hojas y tallos de Dracontium aff. spruceanum (Schott) G.H. Zhu
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-06) Barreto Sánchez, Guisela Tereza; Vilchez Merjildo, Rocío Nathaly; Félix Véliz, Luis Miguel Visitación
The purpose of this research was to characterize the components of the hydroalcoholic extract from the leaves and stems of Dracontium aff. spruceanum (Schott) G.H. Zhu and to perform a chemical analytical interpretation of them through chemical reactions. The plant species, Dracontium aff. spruceanum (Schott) G.H. Zhu, is native to the city of Juanjuí in the Mariscal Cáceres locality (San Martin Region). It was collected in the village of Juanjuí, and its taxonomy was later verified at the Lima Museum of History. The specimen was disinfected and dried, and the sample fragments (root and leaves) were separated. Hydroalcoholic extracts were then prepared, and the present phytoconstituents were determined, including flavonoids, alkaloids, reducing sugars, phenolic compounds, free amino groups, and steroids. In conclusion, the hydroalcoholic extract of Dracontium aff. spruceanum contains metabolites whose presence was demonstrated through chemical reactions, making it a species of high interest.

Técnicas de identificación de aminoácidos en alimentos para animales mayores
(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2017-12-07) Antón Sandoval, Maycol Arturo; Félix Véliz, Luis Miguel Visitación
The objective of the present study is to determine the most recommended analytical techniques for the identification and quantification of amino acids in animal feed for large animals. Based on the recommendations of organizations that regulate the manufacture and quality control of animal feed, research was carried out on the use of modern analytical techniques with high performance and reliability. Official methods for amino acid analysis in animal feed were reviewed. The majority of analytical techniques identified include: Gas Chromatography (GC) coupled to Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) coupled to Mass Spectrometry (HPLC/MS), Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) coupled to Mass Spectrometry (MS), and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR) coupled to Mass Spectrometry (MS). Other techniques include Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR). It is concluded that the most recommended analytical technique is High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), as it demonstrates good repeatability and reproducibility, along with an acceptable cost-benefit ratio accessible to the different laboratories conducting these analyses. However, coupling this identification technique with Mass Spectrometry (MS or MS/MS) would further enhance these characteristics and benefits.
