On the other hand, the excessive demand for services and the shortage of materials, drugs, among others, means that the user is often referred to the emergency observation units, without having obtained the complementary tests and without confirmation of the definitive diagnosis, thus promoting that the relatives remain for many hours in the waiting room. The above leads us to ask the question: What are the characteristics and the level of patient satisfaction regarding the care provided by the nursing professional in the emergency service of the Callao Hospital 2020?Ítem Acceso abierto Work stress and quality of nursing care in patients of the emergency service of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen hospital, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-09-26) Ticllacuri Valenzuela, Rocio del Carmen; Bastidas Solis, Miriam CeciliaAbstract Objective: To determine the relationship between work-related stress and the quality of nursing care for patients in the emergency department of Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital, 2021. Material and method: This research is descriptive, correlational, and has a quantitative approach. The study population consists of 160 nurses from the emergency department of Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital. Data collection technique and instrument: Two questionnaires will be used, employing a Likert scale, with prior authorization and informed consent from the participants. Results: The data collected will be processed using SPSS version 26 to obtain arithmetic mean, frequency, and standard deviation according to the dimensions. The Stanine scale will then be applied to determine the level (low, medium, or high). To test the hypothesis, the Spearman correlation coefficient will be used, and cross-tabulation tables will be employed to determine the relationship between the variables, ultimately leading to a conclusion.
