    Efecto hepatoprotector del extracto etanólico del tegumento de Raphanus sativus L. “rabanito” sobre la hepatotoxicidad inducida por paracetamol en ratas Holtzman - Lima, 2024

    Objective: Determine the hepatoprotective effect of the ethanolic extract of the integument of Raphanus sativus L. “rabanito” on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity in Holtzman rats. Materials and methods: Solubility tests and a phytochemical study were carried out on the ethanolic extract of the integument of Raphanus sativus L., and the hepatoprotective effect on paracetamol-induced intoxication compared to silymarin was determined. An experimental, quantitative and transversal design was applied, for this, 48 Holtzman rats were used, which were distributed into 6 groups of 8 rats each, different treatments were administered: White Group; Negative Control Group (Physiological saline + paracetamol); Positive Control Group: (Silymarin + paracetamol), Experimental group 1: (100mg/kg + 400mg/kg paracetamol); Experimental group 2: (200mg/kg + 400mg/kg paracetamol), Experimental group 3: (400mg/kg + 400mg/kg paracetamol), after 10 days the animals were sacrificed, a liver sample was extracted for the study histopathological, histopathological indicators (type and extent of the lesion) were evaluated. Results: The integument of Raphanus sativus L. is soluble in water, methanol and ethanol. The phytochemical study revealed the presence of flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, steroids. Regarding the type and extent of the lesion at the histopathological level, it was mild. hepatic and focal degeneration in experimental groups 2 and 3. Conclusion: According to the histopathological analysis, a dose of 200 and 400 mg/kg of the ethanolic extract of the integument of Raphanus Sativus L. “rabanito” presented hepatoprotective effects on paracetamol-induced hepatotoxicity. 400mg/kg.

    Evaluación toxicológica de cadmio, plomo y arsénico en suelo agrícola y rábano (Raphanus sativus) en zona Huachipa – Nievería distrito Lurigancho – Chosica. Lima. 2022

    The objective of this study was to determine the toxicological concentrations of cadmium, lead, and arsenic in agricultural soil and radish (Raphanus sativus) in the Huachipa-Nievería area of the Lurigancho-Chosica district, 2022. Methodology: The method used was hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach. It was a basic, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional study at a descriptive level. Five soil samples were collected according to the Agricultural Soil Sampling Manual from MINAM to conduct this study. The study area was 300 m², and radishes were collected from the same points. The analytical method was performed in a laboratory using an ICP-OES device to provide concentration values for cadmium, lead, and arsenic in soil and radish. Results: Statistical tests were performed: T-student tests for soil and radish. Soil: Cadmium concentrations were determined with p=0.00 < 0.05; lead concentrations, p=0.00 < 0.05; arsenic concentrations, p=0.003 < 0.05. Therefore, cadmium, lead, and arsenic exceed the ECA limits for soil. Radish: Cadmium concentrations, p=0.096 > 0.05; lead concentrations, p=0.025 < 0.05; arsenic concentrations, p=0.49 > 0.05. Thus, cadmium and arsenic do not exceed permissible limits, while lead exceeds the permissible limit set by the Codex Alimentarius. Conclusion: It was found that radishes had lead concentrations in the soil that exceeded the limits allowed by the Codex Alimentarius.
