It is used when the heart has stopped beating or when breathing has stopped. If performed correctly and in a timely manner, it can save lives or prevent permanent brain damage. CPR consists of: supplying oxygen to the lungs with the mouth-to-mouth technique and ensuring blood circulation with chest compressions. The level of knowledge decreases considerably as the months or years go by, and the training in updating topics that is carried out in health establishments is minimal. That is why the research study "Effectiveness of an educational intervention in improving knowledge in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation in adults of the health workers of the Rímac maternal and child center" will be carried out, which aims to determine the effect produced by an educational intervention in improving the knowledge in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the health personnel of the Rímac maternal and child center, is of quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design, the population will be made up of 65 health workers from the Rímac maternal and child center, 27 nurses, 38 nursing technicians, for data collection. A questionnaire of 20 closed questions based on the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines will be carried out, with a value of 1 point for the correct answer and as an indicator Knows 15 to 20, partially knows 10 to 15, Does not know less than 10.
