Its importance in understanding and applying the appropriate care will prevent complications such as nasal injuries, nasal trauma, bleeding, crust formation, and even complete destruction of the anterior septum and nasal septum. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing care practices in newborns with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in southern Peru, 2021. Material and method: The approach will be quantitative, with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The study population will consist of 80 nurses working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in southern Peru. To assess the level of knowledge regarding CPAP management, the technique used will be a survey, with a questionnaire as the instrument. For the evaluation of care practices, observation will be used, applying a checklist to gather information related to nursing care in CPAP. A descriptive and correlational statistical analysis will be conducted.
