Ítem Acceso abierto Maternal hematological values and newborn hemoglobin levels at Cayetano Heredia National Hospital 2019-2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-12-04) Pinto Azañedo, Martha Rosario; Champa Guevara, Cesar AlfonsoDuring pregnancy, metabolic and physiological adaptations are triggered to meet the demands of fetal and uterine development, requiring adequate hemoglobin levels. This protein is crucial for oxygen transport to both the mother and fetus across the placental barrier. Maternal hematological problems are considered a public health issue both nationally and internationally, as alterations in hemoglobin and hematocrit during pregnancy are linked to perinatal complications, high maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality, and anemia prevalence exceeding 50% among pregnant women, infants, and children under two years old in developing countries. The goal of this research project is to analyze the relationship between maternal hematological values and hemoglobin levels in newborns of pregnant women attended at the Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia during 2019-2020. Alterations in maternal hemoglobin levels are associated with a higher incidence of problems in newborns and higher maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality.Ítem Acceso abierto Reference Value Range for Thyrotropin Hormone (TSH) in Neonates in a Clinical Laboratory in Lima - 2016(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Monroy Quispe, Hermelinda Rosa; Inca Gómez, Carmen Nelly; Sandoval Vegas, Miguel HernánReference values are values or magnitudes that are used to interpret clinical results, which is why it is important for them to be established according to age.
