OBJECTIVE of the study was to describe the management of referrals and counter-referrals of obstetric emergencies treated at the Daniel Alcides Carrión National Hospital, in the years 2021 and 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS indicate that the study was observational, descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional. A sample of 177 references was worked, the sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience. The database was created in the Excel program and the statistical analysis was carried out in the SPSS version 25 program. RESULTS indicate that 30.5% of the pregnant women were between 23 and 28 years old. The main reference diagnoses were preeclampsia with 32.2% and threat of preterm birth with 20.3%. The Peru-Korea-Bellavista Health Center referred 21.5% pregnant women, 56.5% presented negative results for coronavirus. 85.9% of referrals were coordinated and 85.9% of counter-referrals were attached and completed at the time of discharge. IN CONCLUSION, the main diagnoses that motivated the referral were preeclampsia and threat of preterm birth, the Peru-Korea-Bellavista Health Center generated a greater number of referrals and the process of referrals and counter-referrals in obstetric emergencies was fulfilled
